what im seeing is a vertical team trying to go horizontal. coaching problem

Does Olson use Sol Glo?
Quote:I think we've allowed him plenty of opportunity to fix his offense and it's failed. Time to promote Hackett.
Olson can leave with Gus

I agree. But we know Gus is probably here until January 1st. So in the meanwhile I think it's time for a coaching shake up to, at a minimum, try to salvage your QB.
Someone would trade for Bortles. He can be a very productive quarterback in a good system tailored to his skills. His rookie year we utilized read options, boot legs and screens to keep the defense off balance and not just teeing off. Since Olson took over, we had a decent season offensively (most of it in garbage time) and this year is just perform like garbage all the time.

Olson was our Quarterbacks Coach in 2012 when Gabbert failed to develop as our QB. How did this clown get hired back to the Jags after failing miserably with Gabbert, and then failing with the Raiders? Last year's offensive production is starting to look more like a facade, with padded stats from garbage time. His lack of a potent gameplan is being exposed.

He uses bacon grease
How many more scapegoats before we cut the real problem?

Gus has hired poor assistants from minute one and here we are 4 years later with the same problems even with more talent.

Gus is historically awful.

No scapegoats. We all know the real problem but unfortunately we'll have to wait until the end of the season to see Gus shown the door and for the house to be cleaned.

In the meantime let's do something about the guy who's in charge of the side of the ball that's having the most issues. The season is still salvageable believe it or not.
The Raiders are pretty happy we picked him up. All we can get in this organization is a bunch of rejects with no idea what they're doing.

Why does it seem we always run a shotgun draw play up the gut any time we run?  And I think we tried just 1 screen today?  I hope the next HC finds a legit OC.

He can't call screens because Bortles can't execute a screen pass. He stares down the running back, winds up the arm catapult, and half the time misses the running back. If the RB happens to make an amazing catch, he's lost all momentum and can't get a good start. Notice how all of our screens get blown up?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting rid of Olson.  I wish he would have never been hired to begin with but the major issue IS Gus.  His "culture" needs to go and it needs to go ASAP.
it would be a good start.

makes you wonder why the raiders let Olson leave....and they look 10x better on offense.

My biggest problem is disciple how do we still keep getting stupid penalties? that goes back to coaching.

Of course it goes back to coaching. Lagarette Blount used to be a huge liability when he played for the Steelers. Now that he's on the Pats? He never gets in trouble.

just look at 2 weeks ago Gronk gets the unsports penalty and you see belicek just say to him you know what you did and gronk tried to say something and belichek just said it again you know what you did. We get the same penalties but different guys and nothing.
What has the offense done in 1st of games with Olsen and Bortles ? Nothing.

Lies! That's fish grease and you know it.

Although, considering who we're talking about he probably just dipped into the wrong can by the stove. Since there are always three (one for chicken, one for fish and one for bacon) and he's easily confused, that's probably what happened.
This grease ball can't call plays for crap.
