It is calming down now but damn. The next lightning bolt was popping before the thunder from the last one was done.

I was caught in the middle of this. Easily the most active thunderstorm I have seen in all my 30 years of being in Jacksonville. I got off at 700 PM and headed home on Southside Boulevard to catch JTB and it was hitting and cracking everywhere. Blew out a few traffic lights too. Even when I got out of my car to go inside my house it was STILL slamming down.
For the first time in a long time I actually thought I was about to get whacked by lightning while driving. And any time we had to come to a stand still or stop at a red light the paranoia would creep in because I would feel like a sitting duck. I wanted to keep moving.
