Here’s why the Dow will hit 40,000 by 2025
  • The Dow Jones need only rise 6.75 percent (not including dividends) annually — less than the postwar average of 7.2 percent — to hit 40,000 by December 2025.
  • All economic indicators point north, with consumer and small-business owner confidence, as well as corporate spending, still on the rise.
  • Making judicious equity investments now makes a lot of sense for investors willing and able to let their money ride for the long term.

Would rather not. Slow and steady please. Too much of a good thing is bound to come down hard.
Rising rates have made some traditionally safer investments viable again.

While volatility is always a concern, there are certain sectors that look good long term regardless.

As always, diversify and don't do anything irrational. Don't get overly conservative unless you are closer to retirement.

Exactly.  Always focus on the long term unless closer to retirement and NEVER put "all your eggs in one basket".
