I guess if you want to consider that Gus actually has a chance to get to .500 with a win in this game, and call that a big game, then I can't really argue that.
I would rather not think about the other option right now though.
1-1 was the only time the team was ever .500 under Gus, beating Miami in week 2.

Bill Callahan is a proven winner as head coach and I have to believe he is waiting for the right job for him to open up. Should the Jags job come open, he would be an obvious choice. He runs the West Coast Offense, which would be a great fit for our personnel and most importantly, he's on record stating that "his teams don't take what the defense gives them, they take what they want." How awesome and fun would that be to watch? Our opponent lines up to stop the run, and we run anyway. Or, they go prevent defense and we go deep every time. It's worth some serious consideration.

You are correct sir and on this upcoming Sunday against the Raiders, Gus has another chance at getting to a .500 record.

How is it humanly possible for a Jaguars fan to call any regular season game bigger than either of the two AFC Championship games we lost at EverBank Field or Super Bowl 39? It is not even close to being the biggest regular season Jags home game, much less the playoffs in 2000.

It's a bigger than normal game, obviously.
JDR will want to make a statement. There is undoubtedly a chip on his shoulder, and he'll have his team fired up.
Casey will want to make a statement. He doesn't want to be compared (unfavorably) to our old coach should the Jags fall on Sunday. Beating JDR, even on home turf, should be enough to vindicate Khan & Calwell's faith in him. Not to mention, the Raiders will be the first team that Bradley has beaten with a winning record since, I don't know...Pet Rocks were still being sold? (That's for JDub)
When JDR took over the Raiders, his team was about as bad as the Jags. This should be a good measuring stick as to how far each GM-HC pairing has come.
