Quote:A big game????

Let me see.................... This will be Gus' 54th game as HC (his current HC record is 14-39) and he actually has a chance to coach his team to a .500 record if he can win this game.

Did you know he has only been .500 once in his entire Jag's head coaching career? (and no 0-0 before the real season begins doesn't count)

Can anybody name when the Jags were actually .500 under HC Gus Bradley?

I guess if you want to consider that Gus actually has a chance to get to .500 with a win in this game, and call that a big game, then I can't really argue that.

I would rather not think about the other option right now though.
1-1 was the only time the team was ever .500 under Gus, beating Miami in week 2.
I love all the serious responses to the OP lol.

If for no other reason than out of courtesy, you should advise the readers when you post something with the 'sarcasm font' engaged.

"This loss could set us back to the 1980's, when we didn't even have a team."

I love that line.

lol good post... clear that some didn't read it all the way through

I love Omaha

Quote:Eh...it's a big game, but not THAT big.

The Colts game in London, for example, was a bigger game. I realize that wasn't "at Everbank," but it was a home game, and there have been plenty of games at Everbank far bigger.

Are you seriously not getting his posts? We have told you, particularly, the content, tone, language, and context are purely in jest.

He is a craftsmam. The slow walk by Bradley with the chess set? Imagery golden. Omaha, the man.
mam, man*. Not a fan of the edit feature

No, no, no.  If you can't tell it's sarcasm you really might need to seek other interests. The fun is reading the responses which take the post seriously.
Quote:I thought Bill Callahan was a OL coach? Wasn't he the OC for the Cowboys? Why would you assume Khan would try to hire him?

Bill Callahan is a proven winner as head coach and I have to believe he is waiting for the right job for him to open up. Should the Jags job come open, he would be an obvious choice. He runs the West Coast Offense, which would be a great fit for our personnel and most importantly, he's on record stating that "his teams don't take what the defense gives them, they take what they want." How awesome and fun would that be to watch? Our opponent lines up to stop the run, and we run anyway. Or, they go prevent defense and we go deep every time. It's worth some serious consideration.
WOW

10/10

You are correct sir and on this upcoming Sunday against the Raiders, Gus has another chance at getting to a .500 record.

Come on Gus, a .500 record is right there for the taking.

I know pronounce you Thundersnow and Omaha.
How is it humanly possible for a Jaguars fan to call any regular season game bigger than either of the two AFC Championship games we lost at EverBank Field or Super Bowl 39? It is not even close to being the biggest regular season Jags home game, much less the playoffs in 2000.

Or they can add this:  :teehee:
I dont this one will even be close. The Raiders will win convincingly.

Why do you love to be negative about everything related to the Jaguars?
It's a bigger than normal game, obviously.

JDR will want to make a statement. There is undoubtedly a chip on his shoulder, and he'll have his team fired up.

Casey will want to make a statement. He doesn't want to be compared (unfavorably) to our old coach should the Jags fall on Sunday. Beating JDR, even on home turf, should be enough to vindicate Khan & Calwell's faith in him. Not to mention, the Raiders will be the first team that Bradley has beaten with a winning record since, I don't know...Pet Rocks were still being sold? (That's for JDub)

When JDR took over the Raiders, his team was about as bad as the Jags. This should be a good measuring stick as to how far each GM-HC pairing has come.
