Jalen Ramsey: Duel with Odell Beckham will be a show

Jalen Ramsey is no stranger to the fine art of the hot take, but the Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback kept a respectful tone when talking about his upcoming on-field battle with Odell Beckham.

If Josh Norman got into his head, just imagine Jalen chirping all game.
Jalen is going to have his hands full, but I am excited to see 2 great players going at it.
Talk trash and jam him. He’ll break quickly.

Very likely.
If Jalen can make AJ Green lose it, Beckham should fold like a tent.

It's going to be glorious.
Beckham better have his tissues ready. One good hit is usually enough to make him start whining and give up. I'm expecting a 1st quarter ejection.
Living in NY, most of my coworkers are Giants Fans (Jets fans too just not as plentiful). They keep running their mouths saying that Odell is gonna put up 200 yards and make Ramsey look like a [BLEEP].
I tried telling them that I don't think they know what they're in for... OBJ's first real game action in almost a year, and he gets the best corner in the game who plays the physical press style that has historically given him trouble. If OBJ got 60 yards on the day .. I'd be surprised. Him and Ramsey are friends but if Odell isn't eating like he's used to come the mid 2nd quarter I think his frustration is gonna boil over and I can't wait to witness it.
Another funny quote from Giants fans is "The Jags D may be good, but they've never seen a RB anything like Saquon Barkley" ummm they practice against a BETTER RB every day in Leonard Fournette. I can't wait to see the Jags shut them up. I hope we blow them out, bc it'll be a longgggg week if we drop that game

I don't expect that many passes thrown in general in this game. It's the season opener. We have Fournette. They have Barkley. Wouldn't be shocked to see Bortles and Manning maybe have 20 pass attempts a piece in this one.
We'll both maybe take a few deep shots just before half time and during the final stretch. But I just don't see much. If Ramsey does get inside ODB's head it'll be because he ran him into the ground while trying to break free to make a play in the run game on Barkley.
I will say this though. Between Blair Brown and Leon Jacobs getting the start at OLB. Expect Manning to move Evan Engram around a lot at the LOS. He'll be looking to work the middle of the field and flat knowing he won't have much room on the outside. That's truly my main concern going into this season. The defense is stout and dynamic. But with a new face with next to nothing in terms of NFL experience? All it takes is one blown assignment or being out of position to cost you a game.

If I were Hackett I'd attack them with the TE's and slot receivers early out of run looks.
The Giants were near the worst in the league in pass defense last season. Apple and Jenkins are a solid duo outside, but Jenkins is coming off a down year and they have question marks at safety and nickel. (Collins is a good safety good but he just started taking contact in camp this week coming off an injury and his expected counterpart Thompson can be exploited.)
OBJ is going to get abused physically and mentally

Glue Gip to Engram, and we'll be fine.

More than likely. It's funny this all came up because last night or the night before they were showing old highlights on YouTube of that game where he and Norman got into it up there. He's a mental midget for sure. Ramsey probably has him beat by the 2nd quarter.

Hopefully. The one thing going for us is our pass rush Vs. their offensive line and Eli's lack of mobility. Wouldn't be shocked if we see another 10 sack season opener like we did against the tinhorns last year. Even with Solder and Hernandez added this off-season for them I still don't see them fairing that well against our front four.
As long as the Jaguars win the game I don't care how many yards OBJ gains.
Antonio Brown is a lot better than OBJ.. Hopkins is better than OBJ.. this dude is mentally weak just rough him up once and he goes into a diva coma.
AJ is great against smaller receivers and Ramsey is good against bigger, athletic receivers. I believe they will be fine and it'll be quite something to watch.
I really do appreciate that we play the Giants early because their trio of play makers on offense will get better, health pending, deeper into the season.
someone send this to todd wash
