Assume a best case scenario this year and the Jaguars win the Super Bowl.

1.  Which players from this team have the best chance of getting enshrined in Canton?

2.  Do you think they would go in as Jaguars or for some other team?

3.  Who do you think would be deserving to get into Canton but wouldn't?

My answers:

1.  I would say Jalen Ramsey, maybe Ngakoue, T. Smith, Longshots: C. Campbell and Malik Jackson

2.  I think it would be a toss up between Campbell going in as a Card or a Jaguar.  He played most of his career with the Cards, but under this scenario, he would have had his best years (both individually and team wise) as a Jaguar, but I think his candidacy would be a major longshot.  I think Ramsey would go in as a Jaguar.  Jackson could fall into question 3 as well.  Under this scenario, he would have gone to three Super Bowls, winning two, two SB appearances with Denver and one with us.

3.  Assuming their careers continue on the current trajectory for a few more years and they win the Super Bowl, Telvin Smith and Ngakoue could be deserving but get overlooked.

I would also say a Jaguars Super Bowl win would be a catalyst for Boselli getting inducted too.
I don't know about Smith and Ngakoue they would have to almost kick it up another notch. They're all young and doing well but pass rushers and lbers already have a pretty long list of guys waiting to get in.

I think Ramsey has the production and name recgonition. there's a good chance he gets in, if he keeps up the same level of play for another 6+ years.

It's hard to really think about since the team is so young. I guess that question really puts into perspective how young they are.
There are several players with a good chance if they simply sustain the level of play they’ve begun to exhibit for a long enough period of time.
Telvin, Jalen and Ngakoue fit the bill.
I’d not be shocked if a few others develop a career arc worthy of consideration.
Myles Jack springs to mind. Bouye has his back against the wall due to a slow start of Sorts but if he maintains this level of play throughout this contract plus a couple more years...
I heard this topic discussed on 1010 last week. I thought it was way too premature to do this since the Jags have yet to even go to a Super Bowl. However, I'll play along and go with this group:

1. Ramsay- If the Jags win a Super Bowl or have multiple playoff wins, he is likely to be the 2nd Jag after Boselli to make the Hall.
2. Yannick- His 2 year stats are on a par with some of the all-time greats. If he stays healthy, I expect him to keep improving and would give him a 50-50 chance of making the HOF if this team keeps winning.
3. Jack- Based on talent, he should be a candidate. Whether he can stay healthy for enough seasons to gain consideration is anyone's guess.
4. Telvin Smith- His numbers are elite and his leadership give him bonus points. Odds less than 50-50, but he has a chance.

That's about it for my list. Calais has been a very good player for most of his career, but I don't see him duplicating his amazing 2017-18 season and he'll fall short.
Fournette's running style and body type are not conducive to him having a long enough career to make the HOF. I'd be more than satisfied if he averages 1500 yards and 12 touchdowns in leading the Jags to at least 1 Super Bowl victory in the next 3 years.

The only other Jag to get in will be Coughlin. He is a slam dunk to enter Canton, although we must share him with the Giants.
Jalen Ramsey.

Yannick and Telvin have good chances, but their positions are heavily based on stats. Ramsey can get in on performance and name recognition because people know that CBs may not always have INTs.

I also think that Ramsey will be considered the best Jaguar, and one of the best CBs, of all time when it's all said and done with.
The 2 players with the biggest chance of being enshrined having played for the Jags, at least in the near future.. are Tony Bosselli and Torry Holt.

Bosselli should make it this year. There's 3 locks for the new nominees: Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, and Champ Bailey. That leaves 2 slots. Out of the returning contenders I think Bosselli finally gets in after Terrell Davis has been enshrined, and not too long ago they enshrined Jason Taylor... who Bosselli consistently dominated. The remaining slot will probably be Faneca. If Bosselli is snubbed for Edgerrin James, then that just makes it easier for Fred to be enshrined in the near future, and each year the guys around Bosselli evaporate it just gets harder and harder to ignore his case/canidacy.

Torry Holt won a Superbowl as the #1 for the Greatest Show on Turf. He's also considered possibly the greatest route runner the game has ever seen. He may have only played one year here and failed to find the endzone (he was so close a couple times and was caught from behind, I think that's how he knew he was done tbh) he still had 800 or so yards and was solid. He won't go in as a Jaguar but he'll get into Canton someday.

Hon. Mention:

Fred Taylor, just based on the scarcity of RB's at the top of the career rushing list, he will get in. If Edgerrin James is enshrined, there is legitimately ZERO reason Fred should not be included. IIRC after Edge, Fred has the most career rushing yards of any non-active player not in canton already.

Jimmy Smith, Even though he retired in the top 10 in most receiving categories, he's been surpassed, there were just too many other good WR's. While he did lead the league in receiving once, the cocaine scandals, arrests and off field issues will mar his case, I doubt he gets in any way but the vets committee.
It's a crime that Boselli isn't in already. Yes, he had a short career, but he was the single most dominant LT in NFL history when he was healthy. He has to get in next time around.
I think Fred Taylor needs to at least be considered. And Boselli should make it very soon.

With that said, the moment Ramsey locked down AJ Green and made him explode after 1 catch for 6 yards, something told me, only the great ones do that type of stuff. Green is an elite WR and Ramsey turned him in to a baby, pitching a fit.

Now AB put a whoopin on us, but I just feel like when Ramsey's career is over, he will be up there with Night Train, Darrell Green, Neon Dieon, Woodson and Revis.

Jalen is the ultimate competitor and he is a highly elite athlete. He rocks ball carriers, and he is so long that he can make plays on the ball. He is fast. He's a bonafide leader and he has brought a lot of pub for Jax. Guys on other teams respect Ramsey.

The great ones are respected across the league. So I think JR will be a HOF.
Class of 2019 predictions, I hope this is true: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...ooms-large
Thinking outside the box... Brandon Linder? I know it's a long shot and the Jags will have to be very good for a long time to bring enough spotlight to his position, but he's been about as lights out as you can hope to get out of an O-lineman.
This is hard to say right now; simply because we are so young. If these players consistently play like they are AND we win a super bowl or more Wink, then I'd go with:
Defense:
1) Jalen (as a Jaguar)
2) Telvin (as a Jaguar)
3) Myles (as a Jaguar)
4) Yannick (as a Jaguar)
5) AJ (we all kind of forget how really good AJ is with having Jalen) (hopefully as a Jaguar)
Offense:
1) Linder (as a Jaguar)
2) Norwell (unsure)
3) Fournette (unsure)
Again though, so young and so much time left.

Deserving but maybe won't make it: any of the above (so far). It's hard to say this early in these guys career. But if they performed every year like the last few, I'd say they'd have the numbers. And with a SB ring or more, just makes it more convincing. FYI, Tony and Fred really need to get in. We need some Jags in Canton...
