I'm sure this foolish effort to balance the offense by running repeatedly (unsuccessfully) instead of throwing it more often like our offense is geared toward doesn't help either.

yes, but we continue to fool the opposing defensive coaches.  just when they say, there's no way the Jags are going to attempt to run the ball again for another 1 yard gain, we pound it up the middle for a gain of 1 !!!

Exactly. That's on A-Rob. It was a tough play, but a ball that could be caught. This isn't the only one.

 

Blake on that first and final drive (with the TD) against the Bears was exactly what you want to see. So saying he's "sloppy and back-sliding" is a far reach into the abyss, where Donald Trump supporters get their news.

 

Honestly - when you see batted passes, and no running lanes ... the reason why this offense is having woes is pretty clear.

The batted passes are on Bortles...slow recognition of the defense/open receiver, starring down your receivers and a lengthy windup equal batted passes

Lol, throwing into a 7 man coverage with a qb who is displaying inconsistent accuracy is a fool's errand. Why do think they said the strength of his game is in playaction? Could it be they need and eighth defender to bite and give us one on one coverage?

A-Rob gets the least separation I've ever seen out of a #1 WR. He's going against #1 corners. Last year he was great with jump balls but A-Rob is NEVER wide open....really needs to work on separation

No, I'm pretty sure his biggest flaw is dropping passes right now. I've seen him get decent separation considering how he's being covered, but he's not bringing it in.

Posting this over from another thread.  It is interesting what slow, poor and weak offensive play will do.

 

Drew Brees sure has a windup.

Oh Rivers/Brees comparisons, their ability to "read" makes up for the mechanics.  Just saying that we are making a lot out of it.

Hurns should be #1.

Robinson sees safety help the majority of the time this season.

I've seen this claim from three or four posters. I find it curious. 

 

The following few posts will be screen grabs from very near the moment of release or when the ball has already been delivered.

These are just from the first half in Chicago. Robinson has great separation very consistently. I didn't cherry pick these. They were grabbed in the order they happened.  The order here may be jumbled, but these were all in within the first three first half drives.

In this one, he's already adjusted back to the ball after it's released or he'd be even MORE wide open:

 

This is my favorite.  There's not a soul within five yards of Robinson after he's already made his cut, slowed down and is waiting on the football.

Bortles throws it high and inside and AR15 takes a punishing hit as a result.

I guess blake stinks so lets bench him 

NYC4Jags its hard to know who did blake thrown to in those plays as well

No.  Not at all. I'm a big fan of the kid, but he could have made a better throw giving a chance for YAC and less risk of injury.

All but two were thrown to A-Rob. 

 

The one near the end zone was the PI call against Lee in the top of frame, but A-Rob had his guy beat. 

 

The second one posted was thrown to Hurns, but A-Rob was very open too.
