Man, Yannick in for one hell of a season. He’s been unblockable in training camp, he was unblockable at Vikes camp, he was unblockable in the game. I’m telling ya, my man is heading for an 18-sack season. I read a quote on twitter from one of the Jaguars reporters that said that Yannick’s new pass rush move he learned from Von Miller is scary.
My money is on him breaking our sack record set by Calais just last year
I want all your thoughts on Yannick, I’m so stoked for his forthcoming season
When I went through the list of people who weren't playing yesterday I made my mind up that Leon Jacobs and Ronnie Harrison would be 2 people I would be keeping my focus on. It became a problem(good one to have) to focus on them when Yann and Patman made play after play. Bold prediction time Yann will lead the league in sacks, forced turnovers, and be in the running for DPOY.

He wont be in the running... he's going to win the damn thing.
17 sack type guy all day
He’s got some Derrick Thomas in him too
Yeah, what's he got to prove? If Marrone is "sand-bagging" Yannick shouldn't be playing.
Warning to ALL NFL teams. DONT run PA against the Jags cause Yann is only going after your QB.
Watched all of his college games and he continually beat Big Ten tackles when he was on a very bad team. He was overlooked because he played at MD.
Thought he would be good but didn’t think this good. I was so excited when the Jags drafted him.

There were other legit reasons for him to slip under the radar too. He is quite small, and his athletic profile is average to below average. Of course there are outliers that overcome their physical shortcomings, and Yannick is clearly one of them, but if the next Yannick is coming down the pipe soon he'll very likely be overlooked again.
I was laughed at because I told people that Yannick was our best draft pick in 2016. Although Ramsey has turned out to be the best CB in the NFL and Myles Jack is nothing short of great, I'm still sticking by what I said back then. IMO, Ngakoue was the best player we drafted. If nothing else, simply for the value of finding him in the 3rd round. The guy is a beast and he's my favorite player on the team.
Absolute stud, so excited we got him. What an incredible draft that was!

I agree he is Dave's best draft pick (with Linder a close second). We could have given a random child on the street virtually any draftnik's big board and wound up with Ramsey, Jack, and Telvin (and probably better picks than Bortles, Fowler, and LF)...but Ngakoue and Linder were truly impressive picks for Dave. Props for those.

I remember three or four posters hyping Ngakoue here when he was picked. I liked the pick, then loved it quickly after reading/watching the links posted by his supporters.
Im sure a few scoffed at that “best pick” statement but I’m sure I didn’t.
He’s certainly exceeded my expectations- even though I felt great about his potential.

I knew nothing about him at the time.
If there were any...
antipathy from me (and I don't think there was any, IIRC)...it was more a comparison to the complete disbelief we wound up with both Ramsey and Jack in rounds 1 & 2.
In any event, I'm glad Caldwell and co. knew about him.

This is incredible
Memo to Jaguars players:
The NFL is gonna find ways to gig ya. But wait, you HAVE been here before! So behave yourselves and maybe avoid looking like a donkey!
I remember reading last year when they were interviewing Calais after setting the franchise season record. Yann walked behind him and said "Enjoy it, because im coming for it"
What’s your over/under for say.... 15 sacks for Yann

Personally, I have him right at 15.
