Re-Watched the first half and Robinson struggled heavily. He got beat bad a few times against the run and the pass. I'm still on the fence if he is a long term solution at LT. I have never seem him painted in a positive light as a good LT. Madden 19 has him rated a 74 overall for what it's worth. I know madden and reality are light years apart but there is a ton of research done on player ratings. (Ramsey 97 overall)
I agree that he got beat really badly a few times yesterday. Hunter is a great DE but he needs to be better, apparently he struggled like this in both joint practices too.
Let's hope for improvement, AJ Cann is looking very good in the preseason, I hope Cam gets better too.
I still think he’ll be good. He does have some real work to do though, and our options below him on the depth chart are not good.
He should be our answer at RG IMO. Or maybe even RT after Parnell leaves but I think Richardson is probably better to develop there. Those heavy feet just don't work at LT.
Danielle Hunter is no joke. Even after his big payday people are still sleeping on him. Cam will be fine.

He got torched a few times in the first game too. Like that play by whatever a Stephen Weatherly is.

Cam Robinson is going to be a great player in my eyes. Maybe he had an off game but he’s not average.
I'm glad we have something to whine about, it was starting to feel weird around here.
He's far from average. He has pro-bowl potential. As usual around this time of year, people are reading way to much into preseason games.

That's not getting torched. That's a miscommunication between him and the guard. He obviously was expecting help from the inside.

Likely the case, and with the guard being a backup it is easy to believe. Only the coaching staff knows for sure.
He'll be fine when it matters. Revolving door on the OL yesterday but I did have Joekel flashbacks watching that game.
He seemed to play fine in the season last year. I'll save my worry for later
Wells looked even worse. But yea I remember seeing him completely whiff on a running play and Fournette got creamed right when he got the ball. This again is where we lean on the coaching staff now that they have film to watch.

I'm not saying PFF is always right, but cmon look at Cam's grade. To say he isn't average right now is just being a homer. Does he have potential? Sure. Right now though, he isn't a strong point. That's fine, can't be above average everywhere. Hopefully he can develop.
I'm not worried. Is Cam Robinson a perfect LT? No. I still believe he'd be a better RT than a LT, but consider what we had at LT. Robinson did a good job solidifying the blindside last season and that's all we could hope for. I'm not going to freak out based off of a meaningless preseason game against arguably, the second best D-Line in the NFL. It's too early to panic about anything. I'm just glad we've gone through the first two preseason games without suffering any major injuries. If that happened, I'd panic.

Great post. Lol glad you guys still have a weakness or two
O Line always looks sloppy in the preseason. I'm not worried, and his PFF grade is hilarious to me.

I feel the same way. Robinson has pro bowl type potential. I’m not worried about LT at all.
The only thing I am worried about is our WRs. Once Chark becomes our number 1 and Lee and Westbrook can hold down the other spots. Sprinkle in some Greene or Mickens and stretch em out with Coke, then we will be alright.
