My concern is when the coaches start clapping their hands and chattering "pick up the pace" chiding the veterans to bring practices up to game speed. Not even. Rather, it's constantly drilled into college players' heads how much faster the NFL is, and by the time they get to the NFL, they fully expect as much. Just listen to Leanard Fournette talk about how when he got to the NFL everything was actually slower than he expected because the "faster" mantra was all he heard. I doubt you'll find a single college player suggest that the NFL might be slower. That's just so not even the case. 

I swear Jungle Cat, it often boggles my mind just how wrong you can be.

I think my favorite thing about this Leon Jacobs story is that he opened camp as the starter. He didn’t work his way up after a few good camp days or sneak up on anyone... he opened camp as the starting strongside linebacker of the best defense in the NFL. To me that means he was impressive all through minis and OTA. Impressive enough to not mess around with a camp battle and was named the starter immediately. Seventh round draft pick. Amazing.

Oesher was touting him all along, from OTAs through the dead zone so you're right.

The best way to prevent this is for the coaching staff to step back, see the Jaguars' tempo is SLOWER than acceptable, and begin to push the entire squad to come up to regular season tempo. 

What is that going to hurt? Nothing.

He sat out the last game as a 7th round rookie. Cool story

Can someone help me out. Havnt noticed Leon Jacobs at all on the field. Has he been making any plays, good or bad? Is he getting many snaps or just starts the opening drive and dissapears when we make adjustments with packages and personel?

Looks like we have OUR OWN HoneyBadger

Hopefully he can heal up and make a comeback on another team
