He didn't get benched for Kizer, he got benched to see what they had in their high 2nd round pick in a lost season. Kessler was actually having a respectable season and his rate stats were better than Blake's last year.

Not saying Cody doesn't have something to prove but the situation last year on a winless team isn't the best way to show your stuff.

Blake would of thrown that at 2 defenders.

In 2016 he had a 92 rating with plenty of playing time. He didn't play much at all last season

And it's not like the Browns were shamed every game. If I recall, they lost 2 or 3 in overtime. They were competing but just couldn't close a game out.

Y'all are right I got my seasons mixed up too. Point being, the last time we saw Kessler his rate stats were better than Blake's last year.

I'm not even saying to start Kessler, just that he throws the football better.
