For everyone bashing Blake and calling for Kessler " which is absurd " I think he's played pretty well against some of the top defenses in the league in the preseason. A coupleĀ picks but it's preseason. IĀ like what i've seen from him otherwise. Kirk Cousins and Matt Ryan looked like trash, no picks but terrible. Sure the majority of people on this board would say both are better, but Minnesota was number 1 in defense Atlanta top 10. You think they're calling for the backup. This is the time you make those mistakes chill out!
It's dumb but we know what the national media narrative is and people fuel it. Blake could throw for 450 yards, 3 TDS and a pick but all NFL Network would be showing is the pick. It's just like the London thing. We know what the answer is but the narrative still remains for continuity. The media likes to slap a label on someone then pursue it.

Nevermind the fact Matt Ryan and Cousins are top paid QB's and have played like trash against us. Or the fact Andrew Luck has not lived up to his draft status and the excuse from the media will be he's rusty 2 seasons from now or his arm is never the same. Mariota threw for more interceptions than TDS and he's still praised as the Titans savior by the media when their own fans are freaking about him right now. It is what it is. All you can do is wait for those games he had in December, when all those people hid under a rock, then came out again after the Bills game which he still won. It's pretty hilarious.
Blake throws one pick tonight its all they show and they say he is still trash. Marriota looked like trash and they show his good plays, Watson threw interceptions and looke worst then trash they called it rust and he was still a mvp type player. these idiots at nfl network
have no clue

That part
I still have my usual cautious optimism concerning Blake, but the nat'l narrative will continue to be negative until he is able to string together several weeks of consistently good play with a low number of picks.

I don't have any problem ignoring the lazy analysis or the talking heads blatantly seeking something to bash.
