No surprises really, Cole and Moncrief the starting WR.  Jones/ Dareus the only staring position that is split, pretty much like last year.

Its good to see Michael Bennett still hanging in there. Injury bug has hit him early in his career but hopefully he can stay healthy and I think he will get a little playing time.

Mickens as the KR and PR which I like
Mickens gets the nod at primary PR. That's a heck of an underdog success story there. Somewhat interesting that Westbrook is listed behind him and not Greene. I like it of course, because I'm a big fan of Westbrook's return ability. I had just assumed they'd have Greene listed there.

I know many are concerned in one way or another about this group of receivers, but I'm actually excited about them. I think they'll produce.

Thats was a no brainer imo.  The reigning 2 time AFC ST player of the week, im exciting to see him at KR.  I thought we should of started him there last year
I like mickens there as well, green is a good PRbut I have more faith with mickens make guys miss.
the most impresive thing to me about the depth chart is still Jacobs earning a starting LB spot on this team
Can't wait to see jacobs,he looks legit and very strong.

It really is impressive.  Marrone had some interesting comments on Jacobs the other day.

He was asked if he was one of those guys that surprised the staff in camp by being much better than expected (sort of like Herndon was.)

He said "no."  The scouting they did on him -  they thought he'd be very good.
Didn't know if he'd start - but expected he'd compete to start. Went on to make a comment about him "looking like an NFL football player" right out of the gate.

Cool stuff. The number of UDFAs and late round picks starting on this team seems like it might be pretty high compared to many other play-off caliber teams.

Yeah, we have the best starting secondary in the league and they are all undrafted except Ramsey. Then you look at guys like Cole, Norwell, and Jones
Solid starting lineup at every position.

agree, good depth too at a lot of positions
We really upgraded our ST units last year by picking up Lambo & Mickens.
Leon Jacobs is a tank.

The ladies have their new Greg Jones, I see. All hail the Naija Enugu juice.
Who will be cut after week 1? Looks like Donald Payne will be cut after we worked out 2 lbers today. Also, which of Ankou,Bennett,Smoot will be cut for Dante?
Well, I benched Sanu for Westbrook this week as he's up against Eagles D..

I might be tempted to put Sanu back in now at least he's WR2

I'd cut Josh Walker for Dante.
To bring Fowler back to the 53, I would guess they waive either OG Walker or Greene. Backups Shatley and Reed can both play G and C, and they traditionally have only carried 9 OL. Walker can be put onto the PS. The other possibility, Greene, is the 6th WR and backup return specialist, which isn't needed on the 53.

This
Or Eli Ankou... don't really need 3 NTs (and we have a pretty good lookin stash on PS currently)
Yeah, I'd probably cut Ankou or Walker before messing with the already thin LB depth. Greene is a possibility too, but Walker is more likely IMO. I guess Herndon could be in the conversation as well, but I tend to think Walker is the safest to release, clear waivers and stay free to be added back later if needed.
