I love how you just tabled it...
"not for that"

In all seriousness, she's never been to a regular season game.  I don't want her first one to be a miserable experience.  She'll be going to the Sunday night Pittsburgh game though.  Good chance that game helps her understand a few things Smile

^^This.

They seem to be this way just about every season.

Jags got a great benefit with the early season game schedule vs them.

Home opener in week 2 for a game that could have important playoff seeding implications against a team that is always stronger in November/December?????

Oh yeah!
Jags got this
Brady must go down. Hit him often.
Stop the short timing routes. COUNTER THE PICK PLAYS!
LF and TJ must run the ball.
Cover #87.
Defense
Contain Gronk
Shutdown Patterson
Limit Burkhead/White in the passing game
Get 3 sacks
Cause 1 Turnover

Offense
LF27 has to play
Yeldon and grant have 5+ Catches combined
ASJ goes over 50 yards
Commit under 2 turnovers
Lambo makes every kick
Cooke doesnt shank any for 30 yards(non pinning)
I think Tom will give Doug a little input this week more than he ever has on this game

Cordarelle Patterson? Not worried about him at all.

I think the D needs to cause more than 1 turnover.

Lol, yeah, he's irrelevant. Patterson is a 1st round draft bust wr.  The football acumen ceases to amaze me.
2 keys to a Jaguars win:

1. Jags commit 0 turnovers.
2. Gronk is kept in check (less than 100 yards) and no more than 1 touchdown.

Let's Church thump his [BLEEP] on a crossing route again and that should solve that.
I feel good about this one based on the fact that NE is very thin at the WR position right now. I like our chances in terms of stopping them in the run game. Also, any word on whether or not we will have Jalen following Gronk again? I know that was the plan last season even when he lined up in the slot. It worked very effectively until Gronk exited the game with that injury. Anyway, I feel like NE will have to score through the air and right now we have more playmakers in our secondary than they will have trying to catch balls. Jags by 7
I don't like to talk about referees, but if they call all the holdings on our DLine, Brady is going to have a bad day. Last year in the playoffs Yannick was held all game long with no call.
Honestly we played well enough in the AFCCG to beat them. We have to do what they do so well and that's finish.
Stay out of zone defense as much as possible. I’m gonna lose it if I see Ramsey getting picked apart in the flats while Wash does his best hands-on-knees Gus impression on the sidelines.
With the bigger slower Pats linebackers, i expect the Jags to really test the edge and attempt to expose those backers in coverage. Use Cam and Linders athleticism in the screen game and really attack those linebackers in the open. 2RB sets should be used heavily. Force those linebackers and safeties sideline to sideline and expose their lack of speed.

Defensively, get to and hit Brady. Double team Gronk anywhere near the red zone.

I get your sentiment...

but not really... cuz, we lost lol

Must DO:
RBs must combine for 100+ yards
Win TOP (kinda goes with #1)
Win turnover battle... We're not good enough to overcome this and the Pats are historically good at making you pay when they win TO battle.

Other notes:
Bortles doesn't have to do anything special. Just no back breaking INTs. (RZ or pick 6 specifically)
Defense gonna do what they do... but getting a score on D goes a long way.
Stay healthy... they don't have much control here... but getting dinged up or having a key role player in the game plan going down tends to throw half the playbook out the window. We gotta hope no one gets hurt (or if LF plays, rehurt)
Hit Brady
Put Ramsey on Gronk

IDK how much we'll see Ramsey on Gronk when Gronk lines up in the slot or inline (on the line?).
However... this is the game where I could see the Big Nickel package come into play a lot. Maybe bracket coverage on Gronk with Jack and Harrison.
Amendola is gone, Edelman suspended, Hogan is just a guy which AJ could easily lock down, Ramsey too, and either could even more easily lock down Dorsett or whatever other scrubs they dress.
(Is there a WR group more unproven and unsexy than Hogan's heroes over here? Buffalo maybe?)

Honestly... the more you break it down... on paper we should win.
Except our offense is unpredictable in the worst of ways and well... Tom Brady.
I agree hitting Brady should be a key, but there will be penalties called if we give him an owie. So wrap him up well but deposit him on the ground gently.
