Should be a good matchup especially if Sammy Watkins isn’t able to play. Tyreek is certainly looking forward to it:

Quote:  "I'm always up for a challenge. The best always go against the best."

Hill, who is tied with Travis Kelce for the team lead in catches with 23 and leads in yards with 364, said he was eagerly anticipating the matchup with the outspoken Ramsey.

"He think high of himself," Hill said. "He's all right, I guess. I can't wait to line up against him. I hope he presses me.

"He's a great player. To get my name out there more, I need to go up against more talent like him. I'm not calling [Denver's] Chris Harris or nobody else bad, but he's top dog right now, so I can't wait."

I think he doesn't want to be pressed at the line... that's why he said I hope he presses me.

Orrrr... He knows he can cook Ramsey over the top

He is alright is a compliment. Same way Jalen said Brady and Rogers were alright.
Ramsey usually presses Ty Hilton into next week....Hill and Mahomes are a different kettle of fish. I know people don't line it (including me ) but I'd expect more soft zone giving up all those underneath yards to Hill.

I’ts probably the thing to do.

Both he and Kelce could be rattled out of their A game with some big hits after underneath completions. I’ve seen both of them react poorly to that before.

That whole quote could essentially have the names switched and I would believe Jalen said it.
Ramsey matches well against anyone, but if there was any type of Achilles heel it would be the Hill type.
They should press and bring safety help. I'd feel safe with Ramsey/Gip on Hill. Need to disrupt the timing of Mahomes and the rush better be ready for him. I'd game plan Mahomes the same way you'd plan for Russel Wilson, and we did fine vs him last year until the end of the game.

I'm expecting this happen at some point on Sunday. KC just has so much speed, and Andy Reid stresses you around the full field.

I really think this game is going to be all about the D-Line and LB. Dareus needs to eat up multiple gaps, others need to contain Mahomes and pressure him, and Mack and Telvin need to be hyperalert.

The problem I worry about is that Mack and Telvin are so instinctive and the Defense tends to get into trouble over pursuing, and Andy Reid eats over-pursuit for breakfast with his schemes.

I don't want to see that actually. I like the gameplan from the Patriots game with the same defensive concepts with maybe a few tweaks here and there. If Gipson can erase Gronk i'm fairly confident he can do the same to Kelce. Have Church play over the top if need be (or put Harrison in if you want a little more speed/range) Ramsey should press Hill allllll afternoon, "i hope he presses me" to quote AJ Bouye "Be careful what you wish for" .. speaking of Bouye have him on Watkins and then Telvin & Jack spy Mahomes and Hunt respectively.

As electric as Mahomes has been .. he's still a young QB with only a few starts. It seems to me like he holds the ball awfully long at times and that's usually when he gets those chunk gains by extending the play; if our Dline can stay disciplined in their rush and prevent him from breaking the pocket and getting the edge we should be fine. Hit Mahomes early and often, don't worry about the laundry from the zebras, Mahomes was rattled by the Broncos pass rush and if the Jags can get some sacks and set the tone early we definitely have a shot against their 32nd ranked defense. So long as the offense can sustain drives to keep the defense fresh I like our odds. But against this high octane offense... controlling the clock and time of possession is everything. Really wish we had Lenny for this game but i'm still fairly confident we match up well against them and could eke out a win if the Defense doesn't let up big plays.
Ramsey is too big for little Hill. If Ramsey presses him, he might not get off the line.
It's classic mind games by Hill, he doesn't want to be pressed because he knows it'll result in him being in Jalens pocket all game long.
Eh you guys are forgetting Antonio Brown. Hill is Antonio Brown clone. Also, many times Jalen has been beat many times this year just the QB sucks. Hill is the achilles heel. I hope Ramsey dominates but also remember... Wash doesnt let his CB folllow. Ramsey will be on Hill much less than you guys think.
#2 against off coverage, not even top 10 against press.

Wash has been great taking away the #1 target. I would expect Ramsey to have help covering Hill. Some from the safety and maybe even a little help from Myles Jack. Side note isn't absolutely amazing we have a LB that can drop back and play safety!

Wash...
This game isn’t about 1-on-1 matchups. We’ll see a lot of mix coverages. Heck, last few games we’ve seen Gip play corner and Jalen the deep safety. This will be more about fundamental football than anything. In my opinion, chefs aren’t moving the ball without the “Rodgers like” desperation scramble plays. Mahomes has been praised lately for doing everything fundamentally wrong...throwing cross body to other side of field, no look prayers outside the numbers, cross body to center of the field, left handed throw, etc. Those are all low percentage throws that usually result in turnovers that get a QB benched. If our defense plays disciplined, Mahomes could have quite the ugly wake up call.

Also, you are making the young QB have to thread the needle between defenses. Not that Mahomes can't do it, but younger players will typically want to throw as hard as they can. This might be a nice little mind game from the Defensive Coordinator.
