The only way to get this team back on track is to get the key guys who aren't on the IR healthy and back on the field.

It's the lack of depth on the O-Line that is alarming. Cann is likely gone after this year as well and the way he has been playing, Parnell is probably gone as well. Even if the defense gets back on track, the offense lacks good players at key positions right now (QB, OT, RB, TE.)

The issue here is they've actually addressed all of those positions except QB.

Last 2 years, drafted Robinson and Richardson to be the tackles of the future.
Last 2 years, Fournette and Grant. Both hurt.
This year, they sign ASJ to be the TE.

So it's not as if they aren't trying but they're just (maybe) missing on the players. No one knows how Richardson will turn out. Not addressing a QB of the future really hurt and will likely continue to hurt this franchise. Blake is most clearly not the answer.

I know we addressed those positions, but players get hurt and you must be prepared for that by having somewhat competent players behind them. That is where we failed. The depth on the O-Line was/is abysmal. The RB position could not afford to lose Fournette, because he was the only RB we have who can run in between the tackles. With a power running game, that is essential. The TE position unfortunately, has been racked with injuries. First ASJ and now Niles Paul. I'll admit, that's just bad luck. Truly, I don't know if having better depth on the O-Line, would make a difference, given Bortles struggles, but I believe having a strong O-Line both in starters and depth is essential. I totally agree about not addressing a QB of the future. That absolutely has to be done in the next draft. I'd rather have a kid sit and learn for a year, so we cannot afford to wait any longer. That might mean having to give up some draft picks to move up. I'm normally against that, but the situation is getting old and something has to be done.

We really need a blowout win, so maybe Wolfie and his dad should watch the game from a gentleman's club instead.  Let's raise the bar, Wolfie!!!

HA !!   I'm not sure what would be worse, watching the Jags/Cowboys game or looking up on stage only to see Stormy Daniels taking her clothes off.

Bingo.  I never get why they stopped running the ball.  Same cyle.

1st down: run for 4-7 yards
2nd down:  pass
3rd down: pass
4th:  punt

We are a running team with an identity crisis.

Does she even still dance? Isn't she like 50? She could break a hip. Nobody wants to pay to see that!
In terms of building a team, we have done a great job. Most rebuilds have some foundation to build upon, we had nothing, endless rookies and youngsters to see what we had and most of those guys never got past their rookie deals. Ace, Shoelaces, Cyprien, Joeckel etc, but now we have an excellent group of young talent with some older vets, that's the mix you look for.

Where you spend your money will always be scrutinised, let's face it, top level QB's are $20m minimum, and then look at Keenum, Bradford, not great QB's picking up big money. Bortles is fairly cheap for a starting NFL QB and that allows us to keep Bouye AND Ramsey, not pick one and draft a rookie and hope he clicks. There's no 'right' way, you just have to trust the people making the calls and with T.C, I do.

The strategy was to have a shut down D, hold teams to under 17 and have an O that can outscore that. It worked last year, at times it looked great (Seattle barring the last 4 minutes), but play execution and injuries will always be far more crucial to the success of a franchise. I think of that Pats-Seattle SB and the 2 guys who made the biggest plays were a rookie CB and a WR signed off the street. It can be as simple as someone making a play at a key time and that's all that kept us from a SB from a Pats and Jags perspective.

Look at Atlanta this season, a few big injuries to key players has torpedoed their season already. And they have Ryan, a seasoned QB with an SB appearance and Julio, one of the best WR's in the game. Look at someone like the Packers, is their another team that lives or dies off an injury to one player more than them? It's Rodgers and that's it.

I get we have taken a hit and starting to wonder if it's going to be those dark years again, we are not that team, from the top down this franchise is in its best shape in years. Injuries happen, they can kill you, but we have 10 games left and this team shouldn't be judged just on two bad performances.

Sorry for the long post.
