Quote:How do you not give a game ball to the guy who made the game-winning play? If you don't give Ramsey a game ball, Benn should not get one either.

My answer is right there in the post you quoted staring you in the face.

Read it.
Quote:Lee, Benn, Telvin, Poz.

Honorable mention: Ramsey (first half was ugly but he's a rookie)
Ramsey looks like the real deal and he's only a rookie. As long as this coaching staff doesn't ruin him he will be great!

But... what if I'm too lazy to read it? Or what if I can't read? Don't assume my literacy.
Gus bradly for his going into the 4th qtr adjustment
Defense. My game ball goes to them. They kept this game within reach the whole way, and then clamped down tight at the end ton preserve it. Good stuff from them today.

And also,

Myers! If he missed ANY of the XP's or his FG, this may not have been a W. He's consistently collecting points when he is called upon.

10/10 on xp's this year.

Kudos to the young kicker
How many game balls are there?

If there was ONE, it has to be Ramsey

If there was TWO, Ramsey and Benn
Offense:  Marquis Lee - I would also consider Bortles, Hurns and Benn, but Lee keeps working hard and had several key catches.

Defense:  Poz.  Like Lee, Poz has taken his share of criticism.  Like Lee, Poz is out there working and hustling to make plays.  Ramsey is another obvious choice.  The 4th down play was the most important one, and Ramsey won to seal the game.

Special teams:  Nortman.  Another strong game.  Lee did well fielding punts and kicks, but didn't break one.

Anyone have/able to make a Gif of this play?

Game balls go to players who struggled part of the game when they make game-deciding plays. That is well-understood by people who pay attention.

LOL

You are funny when you try to make up rules for things. That's not how it works. This is a thread in which people express opinions. My opinions don't have to abide by the "game ball" rules you invented yesterday right after you learned what a game ball is.

There's no rule book on game balls and I don't give them out to CBs who got torched for two quarters. One play is one play. That one play is no more "game deciding" than the three I credit Telvin Smith with.

If you don't think Ramsey should get a game ball for one play, why do you want to give one to Arrelious Benn, who had only one catch all day? Benn was invisible until he caught a pass, slipped, and ran 51 yards. So his game ball is for only one play. So using your logic, Benn should not get one for winning the game.

Here I was thinking that the Game Ball rule meant that the best dressed fan won it.

Sucks to be wrong.

His play was bigger than Ramsey's.

Much bigger in the scheme of the game.

The offense struggled mightily to get in the end zone and needed that big play.

The defensive victory was much more a team effort with a greater number of contributing players making key plays.

I picked my game balls. Feel free to disagree. I'm done explaining.

Been's TD would have been for moot without Ramsey's knockdown.

It's about opinions.

There doesn't have to be rules set to opinions.

Not EVERYTHING has to be over-analysed.

So a player has to struggle first, then make a play to get a game ball????

So, if Bortles threw 7tds and 0 ints and Meyers missed 7 fgs but made the game winning kick, you would give it to Myers? LOL
