I think he's probably an upgrade to what we have if he can learn a playbook fairly quickly and start by midseason of his rookie year. I do have some concern about his velocity. The intermediate and deep stuff seems to be lacking a bit of zing. Need to see more of him to get a read on whether it'd be a real issue at the next level or not.
I don't know man, I'm not really seeing that. Does he have a Mahomes type arm? No way, but I think he throws the ball pretty damn good and it's on point. Extremely accurate. 65% last season and then 68% this season. Now, I haven't watched a lot of him, so my opinion is very modest. He has some great size too, 6'4/6'5 215 LBs. I've seen him make a lot of NFL throws in tight windows. Someone to consider if the team decides to pull a Redskins RG3/Cousins. He's not flashy, but I think this guy is very intriguing.

I think Finley is the most underrated player in this draft. If we got 2 really good offensive players in the first couple rounds and was able to get Finley in the 3rd, I would love this draft. I liked Finley last year if he were to come out and I think he has just as much potential as any to be a franchise QB. I think Cousins is a good prospect comparison for Finley as well.
I'd have a hard time not ranking Haskins 2 behind Mayfield also.

I'm really not disagreeing with anything you say here. I'm mildly questioning the "NFL throws in tight windows" bit. That's all. I'm merely curious if I'm seeing a lack of velocity that may make those windows a but tighter (too tight) at the next level. (consistently faster DBs)
Like I said - I haven't seen him enough to have a definitive opinion. It's just a hunch/minor concern at this point.
I'd like to be wrong about it - because we can't have too many viable prospects for the Jags at QB in this draft.
The more the merrier. I hope Finley is in play for them.

Unless Fromm and Tua don't declare as underclassmen, then next years crop looks not so great.
It's a gamble to wait when you don't have a guy. In 2 years our D is going to look mightily different.
Let's not waste that opportunity fiddling around with another season of Blake or bringing in some worthless journeyman like Fitztragic

Tua and Fromm arent going to make their draft great. Both are overrated. Tua got exposed by Georgias D. His arm is weaker than deshaun Watson but makes up for it with anticipation and accuracy. The abundance of 4 and 5 star prosects around him make him look good. Fromm, all that talent around him and he's just a game manager. He's stats are weak. He has a mediocre arm and not that tall and big. He's former bulldog Aaron murray 2.0.

I’d rank Haskins ahead of Mayfield. They are close to identical as passers. Mayfield is a more willing runner, but not necessarily a better runner. Haskins is bigger and stronger. Also, not only does Haskins not have the history of off the field issues that Mayfield had, he is by all accounts and indications exceptionally mature, intelligent and hard working.
