aj has been completely terrible this year. stud lolol

Our entire defense as been terrible this year. Including Ramsey at times. But yeah, let's peg it all on our all-pro #2 CB. Lol. Give me a break kid. Lay off the paint chips
Bouye is not going anywhere. It’s hard to find an All Pro type CB. He’s worth every dime.

Our defense is made on holding leads. Sacks are way down, and so are turnovers.

Let’s talk about guys like Moncrief. Now he needs to get it together.

Why?

He'll be buried on the depth chart in a different city next year.  One year contract here. His Duval days are done come January.

I thought the "lazy" label was way overblown on him this season, but then he refused to lay out for that fingertip catch last night. He earned the label on that play for sure.

Shoot, he didn't even have to lay out for it.  All he had to do was run through it.  I don't know what the heck he was doing there.

Honestly, because that looks so much like Keelan's catch, I want no part of him! Lol kidding. But I need to see more of him

I can't hop on any receiver trains just yet.

I got too much QB train analysis to do first!!!

I like Westbrook and Chark, and Lee ought to help some, but they definitely need to add talent to that position group.

I’m definitely on the QB first bandwagon. Whatever it costs. But I’m also on the add WR talent train as well. We lack a big man with star power. One who will go up and get the ball, even those that aren’t perfectly thrown.

I’m ok with Chark, Lee, and Westbrook next year. But we need more.
i have to ask...who in their right mind
would get in front of Henry once he was up to speed?
238 lbs moving 20 mph?

A man getting paid millions to tackle the dude with the football I'd hope.

I know this sounds crazy coming off that performance, but Henry is NOT a great football player. Any other game this year would show you that. What we let happen to our defense was an absolute disgrace. Our guys are weak, and this game proved it.
I don't get why these guy are primarily not playing man to man? We have the best corner duo in the league and these guys are playing soft zone. I think Walsh's cover 3 defense has been exposed. Let these guys line up man to man and let the defensive line earn their money by getting to the QB. The defensive line has been a huge bust as well.
Bouye is fine.

Our corners, who I believe are the best tandem in the league, will look worse with the 26th ranked pass rush.

Ugh.

Complain about Wash not getting the best out of his defensive roster all you want - but this whole narrative of "they should be in press man all the time" is getting a little old.

Not a single team in the NFL played man coverage more than 46% of their snaps in 2017.  This is normal. No one plays primarily man to man.
Zone coverage is not the devil, it just has to be executed properly and it apparently needs to be coached better than Wash has been coaching it.  The Jags zone D clearly needed more contingency for TEs and slot receivers being lined up on LBs than was implemented. It's a flawed scheme that's been on film for too long now. Time for some scheme change, but ain't nobody coming in here and running man coverage 70% of the time.  That doesn't exist.

QB, OL, TE, WR, RB we need at least one more at all of those positions. Two at OL and WR.

It's a shame that our best RB is about to leave in FA and we're going to be stuck with Fournette and Hyde.

That's just for sacks. We are very high in pressure rate

Seriously?
Bouye has been doing a fine job. Heck, in the one game he did miss, the secondary completely fell apart. They don't want to lose him.

This thread is so wrong I'm half tempted to lock it.
We need to stop it with the Chark stuff. Outside of Westbrook, all of our WRs are just guys. We need a new set of WRs and 2 different QBs.

If we wanted a WR, Michael Gallup was still available.  Gallup was better in college, has a better skill set, and is a better WR but Dave. .
