Report: NFL Might Exile One of Its Worst Teams to London Next Year

The Oakland Raiders are going through a bit of a tough time.

The much ballyhooed return of coach Jon Gruden started with an embarrassing loss and hasn’t gotten much better. For the sake of Raiders fans, the less said about the nine years and $90 million left on Gruden’s contract, the better.

I'll be surprised if it happens because of the impact it will have on the families of Raiders players and the travel for Raiders players.  A decision like this probably doesn't happen unless it's part of an agreement between the NFL and the NFLPA.

NFL doesn't care about families. They have to have a stadium to play in next season in the next few weeks.

The Raiders playing there wouldn't be terrible. The Jags play at the Raiders, so that could get the Jags and Raiders 2 weeks in a row there. Chargers will probably want a home game there again, so they could do another 2 weeks. AFCS is playing AFCW so Titans may want a home game there with their poor attendance lately.

The Raiders are cash poor, so if they could get more money from playing there, I don't see how the NFL won't do it. Then hopefully it fails and everyone hates it so they can put an end to it.

I just want them to do it so all of the talk about us going stops!

It wouldn't stop anything. It would just be a case of, "See, the Raiders spent a year over there. It's totally viable!"

I don't wanna see any NFL team go to London. This is American football. Let them form their own European League.

They did. It failed. Twice.
