Interesting. I like this guy as a late round prospect. He could be a replacement for Calais Campbell.
Brandon Silvers? Wrong wutchacallit?...? Yo, ima need 4 yall internetting web surfing phenoms to get on yall job for a old lazy lurk such as myself... News, People. I need news.
One thing to keep in mind, is that we never know the reason for the visit.

Obviously, there's something or somethings in the player we like.

However, the context is something we aren't privy to. It could be to gather more information that could scratch/add, or possibly move up/down a guy on their board. It could be a focused interest (there's an injury, personality, or other singular question mark they would like to answer,) or it could be much more. We don't know.

Also consider that there are probably guys we like, that we already have a solid grade for, that we may not even have met or plan to meet at all. Those types of selections happen all the time. The value is there at the top of the board and not close, and they select the guy.

So, it's difficult to gauge actual interest based on whether we do or do not plan to meet with a player (or how many times they've met or plan to meet.) It could be their opinion is set on a player (good or bad,) but they continue to honor their commitment to meet.

A lot of the late round meetings are to gauge whether or not you feel the need to spend a pick, or expect to be able to sign in UDFA too.

That's all true. I would imagine that alot of times players that they know they would draft if the player is sitting there, aren't even brought in on visits so not to tip their interests.

I mainly like finding out about players I've never heard of, checking out their combines, prodays, stats and highlights, with a twist of intrigue that they may one day be a member of the team.  It's also cool recognizing those guys when they're on other squads or just for fantasy purposes sometimes, or just to see how they panned out.

Gotta admit, I am much more engaged this time of year. Trying to keep the excitement looming sometimes is like staying ready for my wife when she makes that bathroom run. As of right now, I'm still pumped for the draft though.
Pretty surprised haven’t seen any visits with safeties leaked yet. I mean I like Jarrod Wilson, but I don’t know if I like him enough to start an entire season at FS. A couple I wouldn’t mind the Jags taking a deeper look at is Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and Darnell Savage.

My guess is that they like Wilson more than we realize and feel comfortable with Cody Davis and CJ Reavis as depth.

Still, they could probably upgrade Wilson with either of those prospects. Savage in the third round would be good value IMO.
I think his versatility combined with Harrison's would give the Jags ample opportunity to disguise coverage.

Who knows where this f.o. is prioritizing the position, though?  Anybody's guess at this point.
Did we meet with Harrison last year?

Along these lines, has anyone heard of any visits scheduled for Hockenson yet?

Very true.

I'd love Savage in the 3rd though, dude is a play maker. That 4.36 time at the combine though, I doubt he lasts till the 3rd with that time under his belt. Four interceptions last season and three the year before that, he has the production. Last Maryland prospect we drafted worked out pretty darn well too. Knock I guess seems to be size, but he measured 5'11 at combine. If he happens to last down to the third, you got to take him.
