We real fans knew the preseason stuff wasn't anything to hype up for the regular season. We actually had a hint of a rushing attack against the Colts and go figure the offense has its best day of the season.

Please don't do the "real fans" approach, gives me MJF trauma. (Outside of that joke, you're right of course. Imagine, running the football would be important, who'd a thunk it?)
Realness rules, always. We love realness, they come and go. Rooster, real or not?

As to running to run a game? I concede to rocket surgery.
Hilarious!!!

What about brain science?
Quote:Completely agree on the offensive line part, and honestly, our line should be a good run blocking line.

I do understand why Ivory was brought in. He is not expected to be the explosive, 20 carry guy. We needed someone to split with Yeldon that could convert on 3rd and short and goaline situations, and I thought Ivory was perfect for that. And because the draft was expected to be all defense, that guy needed to be found in free agency (power runner). Wish we would have also added a FB.
I miss Greg Jones
Quote:We have to pass to open up the run game.

And if we falter early on that, it creates problems for both running and passing.

Blake has dropped back at an alarming rate of 72%
The Jags still aren't bad, plenty of teams have been worse in rushing yards before contact. Especially if rushing left/middle.
