We got him.  After years of searching and many near misses, 29 FBI Agents arriving in 17 heavily armored vehicles were able to conduct a surprise apprehension of one of the most elusive persons in the history of mankind.

Well, we got our guy -- kudos to the US Gov.

It's absolutely mind-boggling that the deal happened the same day as the Roger Stone indictment. Stunning. Almost like someone pooped their pants when they realized what the media would be talking about if he didn't give them something better.

Hopefully heads roll for this when Bill Barr gets appointed.

Why do these bozos talk to the FBI? The FBI already has all their calls, emails, etc. Then they interview the subject, and if their recollections are not as exacting as the FBI's detailed printout of who, what, when and where, then it's off to the hoosegow.

Stone should have told the FBI to go eat a bag of Tom Bradys.

I love how CNN was there an hour early.

They excused it by saying they saw "unusual" grand jury activity in Washington. Grand juries are secretive, so I'm not sure how they would have been privy to that information or how it relates to Stone. Besides, a grand jury wouldn't have been appointed in the morning; it would've been at least a day or more in advance. Which means they just happened to pick the correct day an hour before the warrant's execution.

Let's just accept that there actually is collusion... between Mueller and the media.

I just think the left is going to be highly disappointed with the outcome of the report, and that is based on the fact that the report ever even sees the public light of day.

It will see the light of day. No question about that. If the DOJ or Senate try to hide it, the House will throw a fit and subpoena it themselves. Not releasing the report would probably be worse for Trump than just letting it get out there--unless there really is something in there that will ruin him.

I think the report is going to highly implicate Trump's campaign and his own family, but there would need to be some serious connecting of dots to prove a Trump connection.

There may be campaign finance violations in there, but unless the report is overflowing with huge ones, I don't see anything impeachable. If he ordered Michael Cohen to pay Stormy Daniels off with campaign funds, that's a problem. Won't know what's in there until we see it. I have a feeling it will be enough that if Republicans were so inclined, they could nudge Trump into retirement.

I think they’re going to say he did. But I think the evidence is on the word of Cohen who we know to be a liar. The problem with suggesting that is that it wasn’t with campaign money, so it’s like saying they wanted to do something illegal but didn’t. Can’t see how that’s be impeachable since other presidents have done the same. 

I think it’s going to say there was campaign finance violations, and they believe he was working behind the scenes on deals with Russia for personal gain. The evidence, I think, will be based on testimony and not ohysical evidence.

The precedence shows that this issue would not remotely be in the ballpark as impeachable. Otherwise, the last President would have been in prison with countless other political figures. It could cross the line from civil to criminal if it is proven that Woman-2 was paid from contributions during/after 2016, not before. Non starter unless Cohen pleads guilty and is charged with intentional commission during the election process. DOJ could at that point attempt to prosecute. Even then, 52 U.S. Code 30116 and 30118 are pretty specific on contributions and limitations. It would be a reach to consider Woman-2 a political party affiliate, committee, deligate, representative, etc. to which the contribution benefits the Presidential candidate. In any case, Cohen didn't have access to campaign funds as that would have been either Bradley Crate or Tim Jost.
