I seen here just this morning ... She made me breakfast.
Anyone seen RBG yet?
Maybe the Dems can set up another Congressional inquiry?
She's back in her office this morning. I guess all the talk of a private practice ambulance chaser taking her job will have to wait.

Good. Glad to see she is healthy and back at work.
There is 0 reason an 85 year old should be on any court, in any congressional position, or in any other position that directly affects people's lives.

The "position for life" thing is one of the craziest things about our government.
Term limits for all!

Meanwhile 70 year old Thomas is privately contemplating retirement.

My 80 yr old grandmother doesn't even know which pills to take without someone telling her.... and these crusty crabs are deciding what is and isn't law (and in some instances what is and isn't moral)
No one even seems to bat an eye considering everyone is always looking to "get" whoever is sitting President.
And there is so much more wrong at every level of government.

I have no issue of the SCJ's having no term limit.  They should not have to be concerned with being replaced by the whims of a sitting president.  At the same time there should be some kind of evaluation to see if they are competent since so many can't seem to realize they need to step down and retire at some point.  Then again, now that the protectors of our constitution have become politicized, does really matter anymore?
I do appreciate, and respect every one of our SCJ members (whether I agree with their vote(s), or not). However, I would hope they would come to an internal consensus if they suspected one of their members to be less than capable mentally to serve on the bench. I as well wouldn't be opposed to term limits in number of years, rather than an  age discrimination limit.

Many professions have a mandatory retirement age, the most important Judges in the land should have one as well.
