100!

Way to go! Stop by your local Buffalo Wild Wings for a free pint of cold crisp Bug Light.

As many of those that I’ve had, I’m pretty sure that’s spelled wrong.  Surely, a congratulatory email is in my inbox or Something.  Or I’ll get invited to all of the duvalpride parties I hear so much about.

Well we couldn't splurge for Bud Light so we went with their grocery store knockoff brand Bug Light. Made with real bugs!
I’ve got to say, there are times Jagsfan32277 posts something funny and I want to upvote it. But I think he is actively trying to get as negative as he can. I feel he may take the upvote as negative. Almost kinda Grinch-like. Jagsfan32277 if you’re out there, please enlighten me.

Then give him a negative comment so he’ll take it as positive. Reverse psychology can be used in reverse.

I'm actually not sure that he's aware he's a troll.

Okay, I had to seriously up vote you for this one. The revenge neutral bit was awesome.

Have a rep point on me!

I hope we don't get judged by our Reputation points, I've been here since 2007, and you've been here since 2009. Won't anybody want to read our post if they notice that.

Congratulations, here's your 100 Rep coupon. Don't forget to stop by the gift shop on your way out to get 50% off your #becausejaguars t-shirt.

Just up-vote DF in reverse.

But like I said I don't think it's right to downvote somebody just because you don't agree with them when they're otherwise being respectful and staying on topic.
But apparently other people think it's just fine to downvote someone for this reason.
So I get revenge on them by imitating their exact behavior. Find a comment I disagree with and downvote it.
Normally I'd just leave the button alone.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. The typical computer processor runs around 40-45C during normal use, much hotter if it's a laptop. 45C is 113F. The average temperature in Phoenix in July, the hottest month of the year for those poor bastards, is 106F, or 41C. Therefore, your computer is running hotter than Phoenix in July. That's not cold. Your revenge is bad and you should feel bad.

Such a well thought out scientific explanation deserves an up-vote.
I figured out what you get.  You unlock the hidden thread called “Trips”.   Good chat going on in there.

On topic:
Mikesez, if your wanting to get that rep up, there are plenty of books out there.
“Rep’n Ball” is a good one by the biscuit.
.    Flsprtsgod has one called “Rep it Ralph, Ralph breaks the rep counter”.
Rico has “Accolades Anonymous, a 12 Rep Program to Become a better Poster”
And lastly, there’s “Up-voter Registration Fraud, your Guide to Getting the Counter Going Your Way” I don’t recall who the author is.  Maybe it’s RJ or Adam or somebody.

You spend a lot of time in the political section.  That’s a high stakes game of rep points.  You can earn or lose a lot over there.  But something to look forward to, once you hit 100, the “Trips” thread has rep point gambling.  Miscellaneous casino games and sports betting going on with the rep points.

That’s what I was referring to with the “up-voter registration fraud”

I feel like you might be commenting on the wrong thread.
This thread started with me just asking questions.  No statements at all.
How can you construe that as me thinking I know it all?

This thread started with you thinking that no one else knew what you thought the button was for, so you proceeded to tell us we needed to agree that what you think it's for is what it's for (not much different than every other post of yours as I said), followed by several pages of standard message board snark.
