Texans place franchise tag on Jadeveon Clowney

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001...on-clowney

Jadeveon Clowney is staying in Houston. The Texans placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Clowney, listing him as a defensive end/outside linebacker.
Probably won't happen, but I would love to see him in Teal in a few seasons if we can afford it. Players don't typically take too kindly to being tagged. It's almost an insult nowadays.

They would have to cut him 1st. Right now it will cost 2 1st round picks.

He also isn't worth the cost. You still double Watt on that line.

It's not really an insult if said player expects more than he is worth.  Exhibit A is Le'Veon Bell.  He's probably priced himself out of a job.  No sane team is going to pay as much as he expects for a 27 year old running back, especially after sitting out a full year.  Clowney is not exactly an apples to apples comparison, but he's not going to get a big "mega contract" anytime soon.
