That is a really awesome gesture from Trump and his family. If I were wearing a cap, I'd tip it to them.
Respect to all involved.
It is sad that you only hear about stuff like this from a website called triblive.com that I have never heard of in my life. I think if the media were fair, people would get a better picture about what kind of man DJT really is. Good story.

Everything I can recall reading about Trump at a personal level is that he's a very kind, generous person to those he knows and extremely protective of his family. If he acted in a public capacity when talking about people like he does in a private one when talking to people, I wouldn't have nearly as many problems with the guy.

Exactly.
Trump will give you respect and love, even more than you give those things to him.
But if you say anything negative about him, he will also give that back to you in spades, and never stop until you beg for mercy.
It's a perfectly normal way for a person to be, but, it's not a credit to anyone.
As an often quoted man once said, "what good is it if you only love those who love you? I say love your enemies."
American politicians used to study these sayings more, and live by them more.
In any case, a politician has to have thicker skin than that.
Yeah, style over substance EVERY TIME you guyz.
Triblive.com is the the website of the Tribune Review Newspaper which is based out of Greensburg, PA (about 30 miles SSE of Pittsburgh).  There are currently 2 major newspapers in the Pittsburgh region, the Post-Gazette and the Tribune Review.  But yes, this story will never hit CNN or MSNBC.  Heck, I woke up the other day to the devastating news about the Alabama tornadoes and it was nowhere to be found on CNN (the 24 hour anti-Trump Network).  Thank God for Netflix and some of my recorded sports shows like Highly Questionable and Jalen & Jacoby

Trump's phone call had a lot of substance for the man and his family. And historians will probably find it interesting.
But politically speaking, it was style and no substance. Politics is the art of policy. The art of crafting rules for people to live by and authorities to enforce them. regardless of what he said to this particular man, it was not going to have an effect on the rest of us.
It's sad that most "beliefs" of him his detractors have are complete fabrications.

It's quite impressive the scale they've taken their cult-like beliefs to. It's the biggest, most widespread alternate reality cocoon ever assembled.

Expecting politics from a non-politician explains why so many Dems and NeverTrumpers can't grasp what's happening in America.

expecting a system that was designed by politicians, and has always been run by politicians, to run when the non-politician was put in charge, is the bigger folly.

insisting that the man is not a politician when he spent a year-and-a-half of his life trying to win votes, and when he formed his 2020 campaign committee as one of his first acts after being inaugurated, is a folly as well.

He's absolutely a politician. He's just incredibly and obstinately bad at it.

Hold on a minute.  I'm going to get a mirror.  Wait here, I'll bring it back so you can say that again while looking in it.

When exactly did you lose your moral compass? When did you agree to start looking the other way?

Yeah, that Donald is a swell guy. Well, except when he's banging porn actresses and Playboy models, while his wife is giving birth to his son. Then he pays them off and then lies about it. I'm sure Melania and Barron are so proud. And that's to say nothing about all the financial crimes and general sleaziness you're soon going to hear about. But he calls a dying man! Probably during a commercial break of Fox and Friends. A swell guy.

Political hypocrisy is interesting to behold. Remember back to the summer of 2016. So, so, so many posts expressing concern about the many ethical, moral, and legal issues concerning Hillary and the Clinton Foundation. And god know there were many issues. That was all fake, wasn't it? Now when confronted with moral, ethical, and legal issues on steroids all you can come up with is babble about alternate reality? That sounds like something you know a lot about.

I think it has now become clear that much of the arguments of the summer of 2016 was just fake. Just more of the usual "I want my side to win regardless of what it says about me." Congratulations. You "won".

I think Adam and I both care about the claims against both Hillary and Donald.
