Alualu
As poorly as Bryan has played so far, he has been much better than Smoot was in his first two years, and Bryan has been playing against starters. Smoot has looked good this preseason, so maybe there's hope for Bryan. I think it's a mistake to write him off so soon.
It would be nice if Taven was a late bloomer but I don't see it. The very few flashes he shown he was lost like a deer in the headlights. Some people have football instincts and some don't. Lets just hope he becomes at least a decent player.

Both looked bad as rookies with minimal impact.  So no I don't think he's looked much better.

Everything we get from Wyoming is pure garbage.

Bryan
Prosinski
Wingard (the girly looking dude)

Tyson was a solid player who was overdrafted.  He produced here, just not to the level of what you'd expect from a first round pick.  That's not on him.  I think Bryan WISHES he was anywhere near as good as Alualu.  My guess is that by the time we're 5 or 6 years out from his draft, he'll be out of the league.

I know it's year 2 for Taven, and players historically do take a step forward from rookie year to the second season.  We're not seeing that in the preseason with him, and maybe it's just a matter of him needing to get his game legs, but there are times when he looks completely lost out there.  When the coaches decide to sit the majority of starters for most of the preseason, but Bryan is playing, that tends to support the notion that he's not living up to expectations.  Based on his performance in the preseason, nothing has changed.  It would not shock me to see the team move on from him next year.  They'll give him year 2 to try to redeem himself, but it's not looking promising at this point.

When your head coach calls you out for two calls that hurt the team, your career path is  not on a good trajectory.

He has a 2.8 cap hit but a a dead cap of close to 5 million next year. Unless he becomes a detriment to the team, I dont see him going anywhere next year
2021 with a cap hit of 3.2 or dead cap of 2 will be the year if the Jags want to dump him

Ofcourse this is from a money perspective. Hes not a locker room issue or not giving effort so I dont think they take the "cut the bait" route.
His lack of experience and awareness is clear so hoping like most dlineman that it just takes him some time to develop. Not much to lose by keeping him around and seeing if the light bulb turns on.
Taven Bryan is our Forrest Gump.
I think he shows potential for more 15 yard penalties than Jason Babin.
Its crazy how he has such good players around him and yet he still looks pretty bad. You would think with all them star players it would take alot of the pressure off you. A bad player should atleast look mediocre with guys like Dareus, Campbell, Yannick and Allen around them....

You have had that name solely for 15 years. Nothing remains the same. I guess take it as a compliment?

The dude will probably look for me to mentor him or something.  May need to ultimately get a restraining order issued.

Exactly, dude probably worships the real deal. Why else would he take the same name?

Wait....which one is which?!  WHICH ONE DO I SHOOT?!
I joined the board back in 2017 and signed up with a username. Having not seen any other members yet, i didn't realize some else had it. I'm a Miami Hurricanes fan, not a message board poster fan. No need to get full of yourself. I tried to edit it, but cant seem to.
