I like the accuracy and TD:INT ratio. Wonder if he'll push Kessler off the roster as a rookie.

Yess!!

Still wanted Grier, but I like what I see out of Minshew. Real attempt at QB of the future at a cheap price.
I think he's a better pick than last year's Tanner Lee. For damn sure.

better than Kessler...
I like his chances to replace Kessler as back-up quarterback. He has great accuracy, leadership skills and plenty of experience. His excellent mechanics should enable him to overcome having average arm-strength.

I love his ball placement. He really puts it where only his guy can catch it in some tight windows.
I think he will be a big hit in Jacksonville. Hopefully he can win the backup spot and compete for the number one spot in 2-3 years.
He's beating out Kessler.
Did you mean HEIR or HAIR?

Also is it better than Henne's?

Did he fall mainly because of arm strength and size?
He looks hilarious with his stache, like he should have his own late night show on adult swim at 3AM..

"SACKSONVILLE – Quarterback has been addressed.

The Jaguars on Saturday addressed the position late in the draft with a highly productive player with a slew of college experience.

Gardner Minshew, a quarterback from Washington State University, was selected by the Jaguars with the fifth selection of Round 6 of the 2019 NFL Draft Saturday. The selection was the 178th overall.

Minshew (6-feet-1, 225 pounds), 22, played for East Carolina in 2016-2017 and was a graduate transfer to Washington State in 2018. He completed 468 of 662 passes for 4,776 yards and 38 touchdowns with nine interceptions this past season.

He won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award as the nation’s top senior or fourth-year quarterback and was the Pac 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2018. He also was fifth in the 2018 Heisman Trophy voting.

He passed for 8,263 yards and 62 touchdowns with 20 interceptions in 2016-2018.

The Jaguars selected linebacker/defensive end Josh Allen from Kentucky in Round 1 (No. 7 overall) Thursday before selecting Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor in Round 2 (No. 35 overall), San Jose State tight end Josh Oliver in Round 3 (No. 69 overall), Murray State linebacker Quincy Williams in Round 3 (No. 98 overall) and Temple running back Ryquell Armstead in Round 5 (No. 140 overall). They have two selections remaining: two in Round 7 (Nos. 235 and 236 overall)."
