The shade on that last update. Something tells me Doug is not a fan of Mr. Smith's offseason.

Why is Ramsey MIA and will Robinson be game ready Week 1?

He's not MIA. He skips this every year. He'll be there in June when it's mandatory.
Robinson projects to be ready. No way to know for sure.

But it's time to prepare for the "trade him because he's toxic" crowd.

Right approach. He either gets paid by the Jags this year or the market sets his price next off-season

Yeah, the only gamble is major injury. Even if he has a down year, he's been averaging 10 sacks a season and is way up in pressures.
I think we're working on getting it done before the season starts.
By think I suppose I mean hope lol

I'm seeing 12.8 mil although we're going need $5.2 mil of this to sign the draft picks bringing us down to $7.6 mil available. You might notice the rookie cap is a bit more than $5.2 mil, but in calculating you have to remember offseason top-51 rules.
I'm hoping they're able to free up some or all of Telvin's $9.7 mil base salary. It gets tricky here as this past March 17th the Jaguars guaranteed $5 mil of his base salary.

Now we know Coughlin's comments about the voluntary workouts had nothing to do with Ramsey. We all know he's taking care of business on his own.
As for Cam Robinson, he tore his ACL in late September, so he's had a good 8 months already to rehab. By the time training camp starts, he'll be more than 10 months removed from the injury. He should be good to go by then.

Let's be careful here. Telvin has not "retired." Should he retire early, the Jaguars would be able to go after guarantees in his contract, however, he's merely not reporting with a Twitter explanation that he's taking the year off football.
I'm thinking they'll either be able to free up the $4.7 mil non-guaranteed portion of his base salary or else they'll be able to forward all of his salaries one year with the entire $9.7 mil freed up this year and counting next year instead.

Looks good

The best thing Allen can do is attach himself to Ngakoue and Campbell's hip. Be right behind them in every drill, sit next to them in every meeting and pick their brains as much as possible. He has two really good ones to learn from and hopefully he'll take full advantage of it.
