No he was arrested and charged on May 29th, there has been zero reporting that the incident occurred then.

It explains the very odd timing of his release if the incident happened prior.

Getting arrested 3 weeks after a domestic violence incident would be odd timing of the arrest imo

Not really. A lot of domestic incidents aren't reported at the time of the event , sometimes it can be months.

I guessing I'm confirming my own bias though, as I thought it was very odd he was cut given all the LBs we were bringing in to potentially fill a position

Tweets like this one tell me that the team may have indeed seen this coming.

Yup, you were right. I thought him being cut so early was weird, but this obviously explains why.

Has to be his wife for it to be a domestic battery charge.  Confused as to how much money was paid for JSO to wait 3 weeks for the arrest.  Someone post the numbers so we can see how to buy off 3 weeks and postpone an arrest

She probably first obtained a lawyer, then put a case together,  and then pressed charges.  3 weeks later.

The Jags probably found out about it early because Brown and/or his agent notified the Jags when the wife lawyered up. The wife may have had her lawyer contact the team as well, out of spite.

domestic violence cases are rarely simple affairs , there are numerous reasons why someone may wait before going to the police

Makes sense.  I feel that, if it was reported in the first place to anyone, the police should've got involved.  A threat with a weapon usually means a visit with hands on guns.  IDK, at least its being resolved.
