lol this is awesome.
Quote:Where was he on Bad Nortman's best punt of the day? The ball landed inside the 5 and bounced into the end zone because nobody was in the area.
He was in the area, but not close enough or quick enough on that particular punt.

The combination of the ball traveling further than a typical punt and an opposing player getting a good block on him kept him from downing that one in time.

I wonder why people are unable to understand my comments. Regardless of what I know and don't know about Twitter, my question is simple: How is it possible to not have an update on Luke Joeckel's knee if the same team reporter said it is a torn ACL?

Are we talking about different punts? All I saw was the football. No Jaguars or Colts players were on my TV when it landed.

Maybe because in back to back posts you said "It must be fake" followed by "I know it's not fake".

Just sayin.

We just have two different definitions of "area."

He may have been just out of view based on camera angle, but he was trying to get there.

The guys playing gunner have to encounter opposing players on their way to the ball, they don't always win those contests.  Thompson, however has won many of them this season covering punt returns. He and Benn both are usually seen getting to the ball or returner quickly.
He's the Jags version of Vince Papaulo (Mark Walberg) on the movie Invincible.  Great movie btw.

Those two statements were not about the same tweet.
Quote:How is Peyton Thompson still on the team? Like ughhh so bad at coverage and tackling. Wonder if we cut him or Gratz in a couple days with Colvin coming back

He's really good on special teams. You need guys like that on your roster. Thompson might suck at safety, but Osgood sucked at WR and Sorensen sucked at safety bUT were killer on special teams. To be a good team, gotta have players making plays in all 3 phases of the game. We finally have some players on special teams (Thompson/Benn). Helps that the punter is good too.
And Montell Owens was another killer special teamer that sucked as a RB.

Ya ya I know he actually deserves a place because he beat out Evans. Just was sooo bad last year when Brown went out. Like yall have said he is good at special teams.

I just remember back to... 2014? When it seemed like there was 2 to 3 mishaps on special teams a week. We have really good coverage units. Other than that messy blocked FG, it's been refreshing.

And Thompson is still better than Evans and Brown. To put it into perspective lol. I hope Gipson is good to go for Chicago, and I hope Sample can get back.
