Full Version: Jake Ryan LB - setback (now healthy)

Given the fact that Jake Ryan tore his right ACL in college and then tore the same ACL last August with the Packers and is not in Jags camp due to a "setback during rehab" kind of tells me this dude is done.

2019 - $1.5m
2020 - $1.5m - Buyout

Fun Fact:  It would take a 20 year old person 35 years to earn $3 million, assuming his starting salary is $50,000 and earns a 3% raise each year.
A setback in rehab that kept him from passing the conditioning test could be something serious.

... or it could just be a setback that won't keep him off of the field for the duration of camp.

The fact that the Jags had two open roster spots yesterday and filled them with defensive backs instead of a linebacker may be a clue that they think he'll be back in time to represent depth on this roster.

Don't forget Uncle Sam's cut...

That sucks. I'm sure he was destined for ST and MLB backup.
I truly hope that it's nothing long term just as Robinson's and Lee's designations. I feel that all three are precautionary.

Time Will Tell.

Really hoping we have Ryan for the long haul. We’re gonna need him bc right now it’s

Myles Jack
Quincy Williams
Jacobs
Jake Ryan has been removed from the NFI list and is eligible to practice this week.
Good for him but I wouldn’t expect much at this point. He hasn’t played in almost 2 years.

Emergency depth in case Goode or Jacobs gets hurt again I reckon.
Probably inactive most games.

Now that he’s healthy, Marrone is going to Use the next six weeks to bring him along slowly.
The reincarnation of Poz in a younger body is back.

Younger body with ACL tears on both legs.  Just picture Poz at 50% of the speed and able to play only 2 games per year.

He actually did make the Top 5 Worst LBs in a 3-4 scheme --- link below shows 5 worst at every position

Somebody had to tell Marrone who he was again before the presser
On a more srious note lets hope if he gets ready to play he can help shore up the run defense some.
