"The 2018 second-round pick had a disastrously disappointing rookie season..."

I think that is way over the top. The guy was drafted for his potential. I seem to recall everyone thought he needed development.

Sounds like a disastrously overreaching expectation for a rookie is the actual scenario.

*Ahem* Also... this team seemed intent early on shoving the rookie to the back of the pack, just cause.
He had a fumble and a couple drops that were issues... but kid was behind Lee, Moncrief, Cole, and Westbrook to start camp by default because the team makes rookies earn the spot or whatever.

But at least the writer acknowledges that he could have a very good year, even if he incorrectly lists him as a starter. (Lee and Westbrook are 1 and 2 unofficially)
I pretty much agree with all of his overly optimistic predictions.
Westbrook will be our #1 and with Conley shining in early portions of camp, I like the call for him to be the 2nd leading receiver.
Foles should be good and I like the 65% comp prediction/goal.
45 catches for LF is less than 3 a game.... he should hit that easily, if healthy.
Westbrook- 900 yards - 8 TD
Lee - (if he plays 12 games) 700 yards 4 TD
Conley - 650 yards 5 TD
Cole - 450 - 2 TD
Combined TE group - 900 yards - 8 TD
Combined RB group - 600 yards - 5 TD

(4200 yards 32 passing TD for Foles if he stays healthy)

Hahaha

I’m an idiot.

Should have probably finished my coffee before posting.

Yeah, I think Chark will have a solid+ year and I’d shave numbers from Lee, Cole and maybe the TE group to account for that in my prediction.
I could see Westbrook getting 1000 would be cool
Seems a little high for me for Foles in his first year to get 4200 and 32 TD. After all, we are still a run first team. Would be happy with a 3500 and 20 td season from Foles, as long as the int number stays under 12.

I think the TD total might be high, but I think the yardage is spot on.

The league isn't a run first league anymore.
We'll be running to set up the pass and passing plenty.

"After all, we are still a run first team."

How do you know this?

I would guess that since OC Flip really hasn't been "run first" ever, anywhere he was, that the Jaguars will throw more than they did last year and run less.

In addition, the Jaguars, last year, were not a "run first" team,  they had 536 passes and 416 runs.  More passes than their opponents,  fewer runs than their opponents.

Also,  comparing Bortles to Foles,  Bortles is the better runner,  Foles is the better passer.  Would expect more passes, fewer runs, in that context.
I see......

Westbrook- 850 yards - 7 TD
Chark- 700 yards 6 TD
Lee - 350 yards 3 TD
Conley - 650 yards 5 TD
Cole - 250 - 1 TD
Combined TE group - 600 yards - 6 TD
Combined RB group - 600 yards - 4 TD

Foles 32 TD's 4000 yards

If Foles gets 4000 passing, do you see Fournette getting 1100/10 rushing or a combo of Fournette/Armstead/Blue getting closer to 1500/15 rushing?
Foles 3800 24 TDs 13 picks

Dede 900
Chark 600
Conley 500
Lee 400
Cole 300
Fournette 400
Swain 200
Oliver 400

Give or take + all the auxiliary players
Conley leads the team in TDs. Westbrook in yards.
This thread is bad and yall should feel bad.I predict Foles gets between 3000 and 3200 passing yards with 20 TDs and 10 INT IF he can even last the whole season. If not then it doesn't matter anyway since the FO will be sent packing.

Fournette needs to shows me he can stay healthy. If he can, I definitely feel he can reach 1100 yards. Maybe 10 TD's. I'm not as enthused about the backups. If Fournette misses any significant time, I don't have much faith in the running game. This is going to be a real "prove it" year for Fournette.
