Quote:the great thing is that Luck will wake up very sore tomorrow morning.

i've always hated playing good quarterbacks and not even touching them.

Manning was great at finishing a game with a clean jersey.

I am very happy that we put a lot of hits on him today.

Manning had a better offensive line in front of him, ran a fast-paced offense mostly from the shotgun, and made up his own sign language for calls at the LOS.
It will be even better when the stupidity in the secondary dwindles. Guys blowing coverages or just not following the man in their zone. It is really irritating and makes me wonder what we're looking at back there. Then there's the horrible PI and holding penalties on top of missed tackles. Those happen to every team every game but it happens to us too often and we don't learn from it.

Quote:Easy now. The center and whole right side are rookies. Anything less would be unacceptable. But nice seeing the pressure and sacks.

Agreed, Luck won't play 16 games this year.

You'd think the highest paid QB in the league would get protection.

[BLEEP] are you talking about? Anything less would be unacceptable? We were constantly in the backfield. Sorry, but even with an inexperienced OL the Colts had what we did was pretty insane. Malik, Day, Ngakoue, and Fowler were constantly in the backfield. Ngakoue was often lined up against Castarnzo who is a highly regarded LT. He beat him like a drum off the line on multiple occasions.

Ryan Kelly there center was a highly regarded 1st rd pick. Sorry, but there is plenty of teams with UDFA's/late rd rookies/journeymen OL in the league that don't give up 6 sacks in a game.

Hell of a job defense. If Bortles can get his mechanics down this team could go on a roll but I'm not that confident with this coaching staff to get it done.

House had a rough game then there was that one play where Ramsey/Gipson lost Dorsett, what else are you getting at?

After the first half Luck had like 50-60 yards passing. Our pass defense was very solid. Cyp had that bad PI and like I said, House had a rough go at it but besides that one blown coverage not sure where your getting at.
Dorsett has lightning speed.  He would of been picked way earlier if al davis was still alive.

Quote:Gotta remember it was vs the Colts oline but yeah the dline played great at times today.

The same Cols line that everyone else plays against. We sacked Luck more than anyone else ever and I'd argue that they have a better o line than last year with a first round centre and Costanzo/Mewhort both being healthy.
Kind of everyone's whipping boy, but hasn't Tyson flashed more than Odrick this season?

Can't really say that considering he's only played a game and a half. He also got the only sack against Rodgers.
Didn't we only have like 16 sacks when we had "the rushmen?"

Gotta think of a new name.
Quote:And we were rushing them with our rookies.

Jackson, Alualu, Marks. Don't think they helped?

How fast a WR is has nothing to do with DBs missing their assignments.

Read. Anything less than what they did would be. They did great. If they weren't in the back field as much and had less sacks, it would be acceptable. Maybe to you. But they needed to do this. With the talent up front and 3 inexperienced rooks blocking, I would expect this. They came through.

Point being, let's see if they can do so with an O line of the Cowboys stature. This line is arguably the worst in the NFL. Like I said, they needed to get this done.

Tyson started Baltimore and IND games, while Jared played Packers/SD. Looks like Jared was solid vs. GB but a negative in SD (no stats, other than two really bad penalties). So the two players have had roughly the same play time/games.

Odrick didn't play the full game in San Diego.

Sure does.   see the headache Jackson caused for defenders back on the eagles.  Hilton is fast but dorsett is much faster. In game he plays faster then 4.33 and runs clean routes.

The Dorsett we saw in camp cannot be accused of being one-dimensional. He showed great skill in running clean routes and displayed consistent hands throughout camp. Directly from the clots.

Maclin was better no doubt but jackson was more of a headache.

So that will be a great match up in the future for us. Can we cover both all the time.  No idea.  But there will be times we get beat missed assignments or not.

However on our end Robinson is clearly better but Hurns was a major headache last year and add in lee as well.
