* Can we throw Tomlin into the trade.
* Perhaps we should have traded Big Ben instead as he's used to throwing to Jaguars players.
That's hilarious.

All this hand wringing over a 5th...
I’m not sure how I feel about spending a 5th for a 3rd string QB. The FO obviously has more insight than I. For that, I’ll give benefit of the doubt. I mean, if it comes down to Dobbs, we have zero chance. Let the season ride on the rook. You drafted him and gave him many reps in preseason. Own it. Or get the hell out. Caldwell has done fairly well with the late rounders. Seems like a a loss in the future for not much in return for the now.
The best thing we could've done is kept McGough on the 53
I don’t like the idea of wasting a 5th round pick for a player with no long term future with the team.
I did not like it last year when we traded a 5th rounder for Carlos Hyde.
We could have used that 5th rounder last draft for a young developmental player that would have been cost controlled for the next 4 years.
Why not try to talk to the Giants about Eli? Coughlin won 2 Super Bowls with him, and at this stage of his career, the fans are eager for the new guy to take over. Manning would give us a quality veteran who could give Minshew some valuable mentoring.

That would be too obvious and sensible.

Why would the Giants want to move their starting QB in week 2 of the season?
Their plan is clearly not to start the rookie.

I’m not crazy about the fifth round pick usage. Hopefully they can stash him in the PS after Foles comes back.
A diehard Steelers fan I talked to yesterday really likes Dobbs fwiw.

Good call.  A $10 million backup who hasn't played in the leage in years is the guy we need.
As far as the 5th round pick is concerned, it's only fair to return the favor after they gave us a 5th for Scobee.

And only got about 8 weeks of use in return out of it...

"Own it. Or get the hell out" is one hell of an statement from An Fan. Yes we, the fans have our individual opinions to which comes within the millions, but do you realize the brilliance of Dobbs? He has an degree in Arenotics. He took such classes and learned his college play books in the same semester. He's more than smart enough to play the game, not to mention his abilities to play ball.

Not Today, Not Tomorrow and Next Week isn't looking good either.
