Is he immature, yes, but some other NFL teams really do have honest to god bad guys who beat/rape women and abuse children and animals. As far as we know, Ramsey is none of those things, so let's not make out like he's some monster, because he doesn't like Coughlin. Geez! There is a HUGE difference.

He's not a bad guy in the same sense of AB but he's a little selfish and pretty immature. Think he's a great player but if I could give Ramsey some advice, I'd say if you want to be treated like a man you should act like one. By the way, I hope the Jags can figure out a way to make him happy so they can keep him here. They do hold all the cards at this point.

If we don't give Ramsey a big contract and trade him away, whats the chances more of the defense want to do the same at the end of the season or sooner?

Can Coughlin and Ramsey co-exist after this whole fiscal?

It just seems like regardless of what we do, its a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.

I said this in another thread: AB set a dangerous precedent when he did what he did to get away from Oakland and got what he wanted. Gruden and Co shouldn't have caved in and neither should TC or Khan. Pretty soon we'll have a league of entitled players (the employees) dictating everything and the organizations (the boss) feeling like they've been hit by a mack truck.

The inmates cannot run the asylum.

Yes! Dude is past his time. Will always love him for what he did for our franchise. But time to put it up.
Yes!
Maybe!
We should! Lol
No, we just need to use him differently.

I don't think AB got what he wanted, unless what he wanted was to throw away $100 million and sign for $15 million.
Inmates aren't running the asylum. But maybe start paying the right people, instead of throwing money at players like Bortles. That mistake alone should have cost TC his job.

Well said and agree 100%

Apparently Ramsey's only got a problem with one guy- TC.
Shad Khan has now stated that he's willing to make him the highest paid CB as soon as possible.
We won a game and things don't look as negative as they did a week ago.

I think this shifts the odds from 60-40 in favor of a trade, to 60-40 no trade.

It all started during the Texans game when Ramsey acted like a child, and everyone got mad at each other.  But inevitably tempers cool, and people start thinking logically.   I think Shad Khan wants to pump the brakes and try to work things out.  He's the ultimate authority and nothing happens without his approval.

Agree with all of this. I'd like to see Shad Khan meet with Ramsay and Coughlin to mediate some kind of "peace treaty" between the two. Coughlin has already proven he is capable of changing after meeting with Michael Strahan. He and Ramsay will never be best buddies, but I do think they can come to some sort of agreement. Both of these guys have one big thing in common, however. They desperately want to win. Ramsay staying with the Jaguars gives them the best opportunity to do this. Make Ramsay the highest paid corner in the league, but he needs to understand the organization cannot tolerate public displays against his coach. If he can't agree to this, take the best trade offer. I think your odds of 60-40 that he stays here is about right. Funny how 1 win against the hated Titans can change things so much.

Well stated.

I'm sure that's not the only factor, but..

If they turned that down, he's staying a Jag.

If that was truly offered, they should have snatched it up and not looked back.
BREAKING NEWS: Jalen Ramsey reconsidering trade demands after watching Gardner Minshew in 1st quarter vs. Titans and being offered more money than he's ever seen in his life.

Well, the flip side of that is where those two picks will actually fall in the draft order.

Baltimore hasn't really faced a tough opponent yet, but if they stay on the track they are on, those could be picks #26 and #58 (or something like that)

LOL!
Late first, late second, and a trash backup TE. I'll pass on that. I'm all about moving on from Jalen but it has to he at the right price. If we arending him nk to a team that's going bbn to be picking in the 20s then its gonna take their next 2 first rounders to even get me on the phone.
IMO, the compensation needs to be somewhere in the same neighborhood as the Mack and Tunsil trades. We’re talking about an All-Pro CB here.

That's true enough.  I tend to think the current offense is more a gimmick that defenses will figure out.  But there's no denying the talent of Jackson and Brown.

I think I'm just ready for the drama to be over.  Truth is that I can't stand Ramsey, but I love how he plays.  Few things irk me more in life than hubris and disrespect and he has those in spades.  And if he is so over the hill in his egotism that he won't respect the chain of command and can't be reeled in, he has to go.

And I believe an elite corner is a luxury, not a necessity.  We can find a replacement in the draft.  That replacement won't be an All Pro most likely.  But we can find a quality starter.  They make them every year.
