Here we are again.  Vote for Minshew for Rookie of the Week
How many times has he won it already? Just give him ROY already
Voted early and often. Those highlights are great.
The highlights are great. Everybody go vote.

That deep out to Dede to get us to the edge of field goal range on that last drive was a thing of beauty.  That's the pass that makes me believe Minshew is capable of being "The Man" going forward.
Ugh, again!?!?
It's uncanny, because to me, this is the week in which he truly earned the award. A game winning drive away from home, those awestruck TDs with bodies draped on him and escapability for the ages...award worthy. But the brass may be tired of giving him the weekly crown so he may be eluded this time. Who knows? I don't vote on such matters.

I thought the week 1 award was surprising, considering we were essentially routed. Nonetheless, his stats were off the charts indeed.

That pass was literally perfection. He's not getting enough credit for that pass. He's made some amazing throws so far but that one is by favorite given the difficulty level, how confident you have to be in your own accuracy to throw that in that situation and how clutch it was given the timing of the game.

The more I see of this guy play, the more I'm really thinking we have something special here. GMII is very impressive so far.

I agree. My Saints had the OROY and the DROY a few years ago. But from what I’ve seen from Gardner he deserves it this year. My wife was chatting with his dad Flint a few nights ago about him and his dad was saying the thing he is proud of the most was that Gardner was handling his new found fame very well and that he is the same humble kid that used to ride 4 wheelers with my 2 stepchildren. I’ve said it before on another post and I’m saying it again. You guys got the steal of the draft with him. Oh and his dad is pumped. He had owned a gym and taught martial arts for a while. I’m still hoping Gardner can hook us up with tickets to the game when we play each other.

If he wins it this week, it'll be 3 times in 4 weeks lol.

He won it in week 1 and week 3 so far. I think it's gotta come down to either him or AJ Brown this week.
In the slo-mo vid posted by jagsbch ....the look of pure grit and determination in his face as he protects the ball and navigates
defenders ....well, you just don't find that hardly ever.
As I watched the NFL video on the voting site....my thought briefly went to what would BB5 do in these situations?
Oh, get fall down, get sacked or throw a pick....then I came back to reality!

The Jaguars have found a one in a lifetime player in Gardner Minshew II!
All Hail the Jockstrap King!

His love and passion for the game is amazing. I'm glad we got him. He's not the type who is going to stop putting forth the effort when he gets his monster contract - he's going to want to go down in NFL history.

Just like you said, you can see it clearly in his face - that sheer I'm going to do this determination.. even as he's getting hit from behind his eyes never leave the play.

Don't forget to give love where it's also needed..
Awesome!
Someone posted a breakdown video on the Tennessee game and showed the flags that could have been thrown on all of our touchdowns. It puts a lid on some of the excitement but the Denver game sure washes out some of the points made. It is so good to see a guy that moves his feet and can climb the pocket. I hope the magic grows. It is great to be competitive.

I will say that I'm annoying my wife. She says I'm too negative watching the game. She is right because the past decade has produced bad habits in my football viewing. I'm really hopeful that I can get back to just normal watching again. Thanks Gardner Minshew II Big Grin

How in the heck does Norwell wiff that badly on Miller? With lineman missing blocks like that, we are very fortunate Minshew is good on his feet and see them coming.
