Welcome back for Week 5 NFL Game Day Jaguars Nation! A battle of 2-2 teams clash this afternoon, as our Jacksonville Jaguars are in Charlotte, North Carolina, to play the Carolina Panthers, in the seventh regular season meeting of the 1995 NFL Expansion Teams and the battle of NFL teams named after big cats.
Rookie Gardner Minshew will also try to win his third straight start as the Jaguars QB, and win three straight out of his four starts.
Both Jacksonville and Carolina are tied ar 3 games apiece after six regular season meetings, but the last game was won by the Panthers, defeating our Jaguars 20-9 at then-named EverBank Field back on September 15, 2015.
Jacksonville also playing their first regular season road game in Carolina in 8 years, but seek only their second road win in Charlotte in more than 20 years. Jaguars only road win at the Panthers was their 22-20 win in then-named Ericsson Stadium back on September 19, 1999.
Mostly cloudy skies, but no rain, at 74 degrees, is the local gamecast inside Bank Of America Stadium, for the 1:05 PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 5% precipitation, 61% humidity, and mild eastern winds at 3 miles per hour.
Head Linesman Alex Kemp leads his NFL officiating crew to supervise the live game action on the field between the Jaguars and Panthers. October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as the Jaguars and Panthers players, and their coaching and support staffs, may wear NFL pink colored team apparel both on the field and in the sidelines, to support the NFL's annual Crucial Catch campaign.
NO injuries, let's hope Gardner Minshew and the Jaguars win their third straight game for the Jaguars at Carolina, and take a 4-3 lead in the regular season rivalry. GO JAGUARS!!!!!!! DUUUUUUUVALLLLLLL!!!!!!
