with patnhers punching thier ticket to the super bowl now lets get things right, and start winning again so we get us a rematch in the super bowl.   2 out of the last 3 times panthers have beaten jags in regluar season they went to super bowl in same year.

there is no getting around we lost the game yesterday. you win as a team, and you lose as a team. it could've been a lot worse.   check this out.

BUMP
It'll be fine. It's a marathon. Not a sprint. And it's only been five weeks. We've lost two really close games and won two others. I'll keep saying it all year. But this team has the 1996 vibe to them. It's almost comical when you consider that Minshew is literally a "throwback" when it comes to his sense of style from the 80's and the Uncle Rico get-up.

He looked like a right handed Mark Brunell running around yesterday with that knee brace on him too. Maybe Chark and Westbrook become the young upstart McCardell and Smith connection down the stretch this year. And they somehow get a Pete Mitchell type of year out of one of these tight end's or that rookie in Oliver. You just never know.

But we have seen this defense dominate in one game, we've seen this passing game dominate in one game and we've seen this ground game dominate in one game and so far Lambo and Cooke have been absolutely awesome on special teams. They're just a little streaky with that hot and cold feel but at least they're not getting blown out.

This team could catch a fire and run with it around November. Hear me now. Believe me later. But it's possible they go 9 - 7 / 10 - 6 and sneak into the play-off's. Just have to have faith and believe in the stache'.
need to find a run defense, and protect minshew better first, and not turn the ball over.
I'd like to patnhers

Agreed. Here's to hoping that the run defense can be fixed by the players and coaching staff, if it truly is a matter of players not hitting the correct gaps. Minshew is doing well so far with the protection he has.  Keep in mind we have gone against some difficult defensive fronts as of late (Texans, Broncos, Titans, and Panthers). The line may not be his team's main strength, but maybe they can keep improving as a unit as the season rolls. Overall, I think the foundation is there on the offense for this team to win some games.

Agree that we need to be disciplined against the run. We are built on speed, and it's too often you see a guy take himself out of the play by over-pursuing.
Minshew's greatest lesson may be to live for another play, if the rush is on, throw it away, or take the sack, but trying to wiggle through contact is going to result in a fumble now and again. We need to jump out to a lead against our opponents, so he doesn't feel compelled to do everything himself to carry the team to victory.
Um, no we didn't. It was 100% the defense' fault.

Not when you cough up three turnovers offensively.

Offense did their job. Defense didn't, against a backup rookie QB. You can sprinkle potpourri on that turd all you want, but it ain't gonna smell any better.

I did nothing of the sort.

The run defense was nearly non-existent.  But to say it's the only reason they lost is asinine when the offense gifted the other team points via 3 turnovers.

Both are to blame - even if the run defense was more egregious.

The offense gifted them 14+ points between the three turnovers. And the Panthers were able to dictate the terms on the ground with a decent lead here and there. They're both at fault. If they didn't turn it over early and fall 21 - 7 during the opening of the 2nd quarter there's a good chance they take the lead on offense and force more play out of Allen instead of allowing CMC to run more often.

Norv Turner took advantage of a team that [BLEEP] up ball security early. That's good coaching taking advantage of an undisciplined team. The only two players absolved from any blame in that loss are Lambo and Cooke. They did their jobs.
