I'm curious if those smarter than me can break down why the 49ers Defense is so good and why Jax seems to have fallen off, or at the very least, they've been very up and down.

Saleh runs the same scheme, though he does seem a TON more enthusiastic than Wash. On paper, we seem to have better or at least equal talent. Is it as simple as Wash's playcalling vs Saleh's?

ATL runs the same scheme but has poor talent. Chargers are better than us defensively, as is Seattle.

I'm certainly no fan of Wash but the Niners have a ton of talent in their front 7. 

We might feel like ours is equal, but personally I think Campbell is starting to slow down and Dareus is having a rough start to the season. Throw Yan in there too.

I think you found the secret. You have to jump around on the sidelines. Gus did this a lot when he was in Seattle, hardly ever in Jax. I think Saleh learned it from Seattle Gus or Tampa Gus.

Niners whole D line are all top 10 picks also that helps it took awhile for them.
