I love this dude now. Never thought he would be where he is at due to his rookie year, but then again I guess that's just to be expected sometimes... people don't always come out and flash right off the bat and I'm glad this team stayed with him and let him improve. The catches he has been making basically nonstop are amazing. It's also nice having someone that can get him the damn ball.

I hadn't written him off, I thought he'd be in our top 3 but the progress he's made is amazing. He's a star in the making.
One thing to note as well is that Minshew throws a catchable ball unlike Bortles.

Better throws and better placement makes great receivers elite and ok receivers good or great.

I have seen more natural ability, ball placement, timing, accuracy and leading defenders away from certain coverages with eye movement and shoulder flinching along with pump faking in just one month of football with Minshew than I ever did with Bortles.

Minshew even showcases a good rhythmic clock in his head on most plays and he doesn't force anything that's not there. He knows when to get the football out of his hands.

The mobility is also there. We all loved Bortles ability to escape and run downfield at times. Minshew already has over 100 yards scrambling this year. And most people don't realize that because he's just been so good from the pocket.

He'll probably match some of Bortles numbers here season wise when it's all said and done on the ground. It's still early. But he seems to improve each week.

They just need to figure out a way to improve on 3rd down efficiency. The penalties don't help at all. But Minshew clearly has a lot of potential to grow into one of the NFL's next consistent "top" passers where you always have a chance to win with him.

Caldwell, Coughlin and Khan need to build around this kid quickly. Improve the offensive line. Add some more speed at the TE and WR position and they could have one of those scary [BLEEP] offenses like Kansas City, New Orleans, L.A, etc.

Grant would've been deadly out of the backfield with minshew on third downs.

If he was healthy.  He isn't.

With that said, he did look bad in a limited role last season, but receivers almost always need a year or two to develop with a new system and a new QB. The fact that he had Bortles as a QB made things even worse. The fact that he has meshed so quickly with Minshew is beyond anything I could have imagined. I look forward to seeing this duo for many, many years to come.

@It's ok to admit you underestimated Logan Cooke@
Once Oliver is ready this Offense could be really deadly.

Fournette, Chark,Westbrook, Connley, Oliver, and Lee

Who do you stop? I see our Offense being our identity going forward with Minshew.

Defense needs to work on their communication but I see the back half of this year being very good.
In preseason everyone on offense was deemed terrible.

This is so weird.  One month ago I would have considered trading that group for a mid 1st & 2rd round draft pick.

Indeed. He's a free agent currently...

although... seems he was healthy when packers cut him in Aug....

Also didn't know Pack OC is Nate Hack lol

I doubt it.  They didn't have a single healthy back on their roster that had NFL experience when they cut Grant.  His injury might have healed, but I doubt he was or is "football healthy"

Perhaps... Lisfranc injuries can take up to a full year to "fully heal" after surgery

His injury happened in Oct. last year, iirc.
Also... I think with LF coming around and Armstead he wouldn't have too many opportunities either way

'Unproven' was a more appropriate description.  One I was in complete agreement with.  Glad to see them proving it.
I thought Westbrook was going to be the break out star this year. DJ Chark and Minshew have definitely taken the reigns from Westbrook and Foles. Really excited about their development. Chark might have 1,000 yards, Minshew might be Rookie of Year,
Fournette is returning to form. This is looking good.

Couple things here.

1. Slow down Michael Thomas. He's also on pace to break the receptions in a season record.
2. Godwin doing that with one less game than the rest is pretty remarkable.
3. Chark is just getting started. He's going to be really good for a while on this team (depending on if they actually want to keep good players)
@NYC4jags - Nice graphic! thanks.
Hopefully chark is more involved today. At least one td.
I want to see Cole get a lot of action today
