I think we are witnessing the best kicking in franchise history.

Hollis was the most accurate in the league at one point but he never had much power. His max was 53 yards.

Then along comes Scobee who struggled during the preseason. I won’t ever forget he bombed one right down the middle and then kicked it out of the end zone back when we kicked from the 30, and he solidified his spot. He was solid for a long time and was big in the community then off to Pittsburgh.

Myers came along and missed 9 extra points and we were afraid to watch after we scored a TD.

Then along comes Josh Lambo. He kicked the game winner against his old team. And since then he’s just been on a mission. He’s practically automatic. He’s thumping the football and they are dead center most of the time.

Kid has already broke a few records. If he doesn’t make the pro bowl this year then something is up.
He's only missed 15 kicks his whole career
Media loves Justin Tucker. He's going to make the pro bowl, dont care if Lambo makes every kick the rest of the year
Plus, he currently has the best hair in the league.

Wow. Didn’t know that.
Looks like John Snow with his Winterfell hairstyle
I am kind of surprised this hasn't come up before. Lambo is having the best season of any kicker we ever had. He deserves a new contract if we haven't done it already. The man is automatic.
Literally. In a zone.

They just gave him a new contract earlier this year. 4 year, $15.5m.

He isn't a FA until 2023, so we good.

I thought the same thing.
Thanks Chargers !

From wilkipedia :

On September 2, 2017, Lambo was released by the Chargers after losing the starting kicker job to rookie Younghoe Koo. However the 0–4 Chargers waived him after Week 4.

Koo only made 3 of his 6 FG attempts.
Lambo is simply the most efficient kicker in the NFL and he has been this way for a while. Thank God, we signed him to a contract extension. This guy has been a blessing so far.
IMO he is the best kicker in the entire league. The man has incredible accuracy.
Lambo could very well turn out to be in the list of top ten free agent acquisitions the Jags have ever made if he keeps this level of play up throughout his contract. And there are some really good players on that list.
Halfway through the season and he is perfect on FGs. Has a kicker ever finished a season perfect?

Lambo was an average kicker with the Chargers - can't blame them for cutting him.  In his 2 seasons there he was 52 for 64 on FGs (81.3%) and 70 for 78 on extra points (89.7%).  He's definitely found the zone in Jax - since he's been here he's 59 for 62 on FGs (95.2%) and 53 for 57 on extra points (93.0%).

Halfway through the season, and Justin Tucker is tracking on a perfect tally: 16/16 on FG and 20/20 on XP.

Oh, wow. Not as unique as I thought.
