What will more than likely happen:
1. Garrett
2. Watson
3. Mahomes
4. Fournette/Thomas/Allen/Adams/Hooker/Lattimore/Howard in no particular order
All of these guys are good. This Draft is seriously loaded. In this scenario I think we come away with an awesome player regardless. I don't care about if we need the position or not. Players will get hurt, suspended or old. You can never anticipate what will happen. As long as they are talented and dependable, "Welcome to the team".
What I want to happen:
1. Garrett
2. Trubisky
3. Fournette
4. Watson, Mahomes
If Watson or Mahomes are there they should trade back for a package equal to last years top 2 picks. If not equal,
make the pick
. Both QB's are better than last years options going 1 and 2. All of us with eye's and a brain can see that. No one said last years QB crop was weak but it was. The best player went in the 4th round. My point, don't listen to media guy's. They're just lion tamers in a circus. They're saying this is a weak class for a reason. Trust me, you don't want to go into next season with Bortles and the aforementioned QB's or Kaep are our best options. we will regret passing on them if they're there.Even 2015 was garbage time for Bortles. Go back an watch the horror show objectively if you don't believe me.
Honestly, I don't care if they start Bortles next year even after picking a QB at 4. If he's better and winning Awesome. We got ourselves a QB, a talented backup and trading leverage for the future. you can always recoup the value of the top pick if they don't get to play because Bortles is winning. But if he's not, then what are you left with?
