So real question, how many other teams radio broadcasts do ya'll listen to?
There are some things Frangie could do a lot better, but there are a lot of poor play by play announcers around the NFL and really throughout the NBA and MLB as well.
It's a dying art.
He's terrible. That said, the good thing about keeping him in the booth is that he finally quite saying "My Steelers" as he did the past 20 years prior to taking the play-by-play job with the Jags
He's pretty bad at doing play by play. When he's supposed to get excited, he sounds fake.

Yep, there’s no genuine excitement, more like I’m supposed to sound excited bc it’s my job.

As bad as he is calling the game, his afternoon radio show is just completely unlistenable most of the time.
He latches on to some really wacky takes concerning the Jags frequently. Takes that clearly mystify the other personalities on air with him, yet he owns the damn station, so they never really call him on how dumb they are.
It's awkward and sometimes painful.
Don't worry though, the pain usually doesn't last long before he's moving on to talking about the gators' football, basketball, baseball, LaCross, and swim teams -- with regular interjections involving the pittsburgh pirates.

He's ok. He used to be terrible, but he's worked at it and has gotten better. While he's still not one of the better ones, he's not as bad as some people say. I don't listen to the radio broadcasts much anyway so it doesn't bother me.
Frangie is so bad. I don't mind his radio show but, he is NOT a good play by play guy. Sexton was far better.

I've listened to a few on XM while driving home from hunting camp. NONE are as horrible as Frangie.
I do hate listening to the other teams calls when their kicking our [BLEEP] though.
