If you were appointed GM today, how would you change things? Who would you fire? Who would you promote? What deals would you make? What positions/players would you target in free agency and the draft?

1. First off, I fire Gus Bradley, Greg Olsen and Todd Walsh. I then promote Monte Kiffin to interim head coach, Jerry Sullivan to Offensive Coordinator and Robert Saleh to Defensive Coordinator. I drop the 4-3 hybrid scheme and go to a straight 4-3 for the rest of the season and see how things play out. If we turn things around, I hire Kiffin to be the head coach, if not I search for a new staff with an emphasis on someone who can bring in a strong QB coach who is known for developing young signal callers. I would preferably move to a 3-4 scheme, but that isn't set in stone. I just think we're best set up to succeed as a 3-4 defense.

2. I cut Cyprien and Gratz, Henne and Joeckel. I then I try to swing a deal. I offer Marqise Lee, T.J. Yeldon and a 3rd round pick to the Dallas Cowboys for La'el Collins, Alfred Morris and a 7th round pick. I will up the offer to a 2nd rounder, if they don't bite, but that is where I draw the line. If they take the offer, I immediately install Collins at LT and move Beachum to LG. Alfred Morris would then split carries with Ivory.

3. At the end of the season, I re-sign Prince Amukamura and I target Safeties Eric Berry and Micah Hyde in free agency. I make sure one of them would be a Jaguar. I then look at adding a CB. I target Trumain Johnson, Stephon Gilmore or Logan Ryan.

4. In the draft, I focus on building depth and competition on the O-Line. I look at players like Centers: Kyle Fuller of Baylor or Dan Voltz of Wisconsin. I look at OG's like Pat Elfein of Ohio State, Dan Feeney of Indiana and Nico Siragusa of San Diego State and OT prospects like Julien Davenport of Bucknell and K.C. McDermott of Miami. I also look to add a young running back in the middle rounds like Sony Michel of Georgia, Royce Freeman of Oregon and Jalen Hurd of Tennessee.

5. I look to play a much more aggressive style of offense with an emphasis on pass protection and utilizing the RB's as receivers out of the backfield. We have arguably, the best trio of WR's in the NFL with Robinson, Hurns and Greene. We need to make opposing defenses fear our passing attack.

This is only the things I can think of off the top of my head, but I wonder what you guys would do.

I would keep everyone till the end of the season to get a good draft pick. Massive change during in the season does nothing
Keep the coaching staff. They're all learning how to gel. If it takes a couple more, who cares? We have families and sitcoms to watch in the mean time. You want the team to become a family, once that happens, oh boy lookout - that's when the magic happens.

I agree with this.. Gus hasn't lost the players yet. I doubt anyone on this staff can turn it around, might as well keep him until the end of the season.

I hadn't thought of this before. I guess that would be a good reason of keeping the same coaching staff around. The only reason I DON'T like it is we're basically asking for the #1 pick, tanking the rest of the year, and giving up on our team for almost a full year. Sad
Burn it to the ground.
Gus has gotta go. I'm not much a fan of firing a guy mid season or by week 4 for this matter but he's so awful. Such optimism this year and it was killed about 2 min into week 2

That's dumb. That's like staying in a bad marriage because divorcing today "does nothing."

Do it now and figure it out later. We know Gus is not the man for the job so get rid of him.

It could change the mindset of the team and the fans, by saying enough is enough. What we have isn't working and we're going to try and change it. Keeping everyone until the end of the season is like saying, we're o.k. with losing.

Gus has lost the players. That is evident.

1. Fire Gus and Olsen, Promote Hackett to OC, Marrone to HC.

2. Bench Skuta, promote Jack to SLB

3. Go back to last years offensive ideology

4. Hire Shula or Payton as HC,  Keep Hackett as OC, Keep Walsh as DC

5. Draft Peppers, Kelly, Pocic, Reeves Maybin 1,2,3,4

6. Find a way to get some OL in FA and good depth all over esp on d ends.

I stopped reading at 2 cause it got really bad there

EDIT: Why in the world would you make Lael the LT and Beach the guard when their normal positions are the opposite. This is a bad op
1.) I would go home from my daytime job at WayneCorp.

2.) I would promote my business manager Lucius Fox to head coach.

3.) I would only work during the daytime, as during the nighttime, I will be fighting scum on the streets of Gotham!

4.) I would then only draft the players that are recommended from by my confidant, Alfred.

5.) I would next turn the regime over to my young sidekick Robin, after years of winning many Superbowls.

Collins was a road grating LT at LSU and had he gone to almost any other team than Dallas, he'd be playing LT in the NFL. He was projected to be a 1st round LT, but unfortunately he got named in a murder investigation in which he had no involvement and he wasn't drafted at all. Dallas already had a franchise LT though and had a bigger need at LG, so Collins was moved there. I want a young LT who is good in pass protection and excels as a run blocker. That is Collins. I'd rather take a proven guy then try and draft one and risk whiffing again. I move Beachum to LG, because that is an area of concern and with his body type and experience at LT, he should excel on the inside. He was a decent LT, but he should thrive at LG. Such moves make the left side of our O-Line completely stable. We'd just need to add some much needed depth.

Hmmm........ you wouldn't by any chance be Batman, would you?
new coach. it's not very hard to win with the talent we have on this team. bad coaching.

Throw away the copy of Madden which seems to be the basis for how you fix this team.

Agreed. New coaches, new defensive scheme and some minor tinkering with a couple starters. We're not far off. This team has the talent to win. We're just being held back by the coaching and his terrible schemes.

Nothing I said had anything to do with Madden. I didn't even make any major moves. I just want to add a young franchise LT. Next to a franchise QB, that is the most important offensive position. Most everything else is about changing the coaching and defensive scheme, which most people seem to agree with.
