Ya know, they could also take a step by making concession prices more reasonable. There is nothing like paying $35 for 2 Bono's pork sandwiches while watching your team get trounced. These people just don't get it.

If everyone throws in the towel, and assumes it's not worth their effort to try and keep the team around, for sure it will be relocated.

If the fanbase forces his hand, I wouldn't blame Khan one bit for going. He's not abandoning the city in the middle of the night, like the Colts did to Baltimore. He's not holding the city hostage for a new stadium (yet). He's doing what he can to further establish a fanbase that he's already put resources in (London) while also making the remaining tickets more affordable for the existing fanbase that struggles to fill its home stadium.

If anything, he's doing his part to take the excuses away for the fans who opt to stay home rather than attend games in person.

It sucks, for sure, but the most saintly owner in sports would do the exact same thing.

How is he making tickets more affordable?  You're just paying for one less game.  There's one less game now and the only thing being made 'more affordable' is the pre-season games that nobody goes to anyway.

I haven't seen prices released for any packages, but based on the releases yesterday, it sounds like STH will see a reduction in what they are paying, albeit for one less game. Factor in travel, parking, concessions, and other expenses cut for one of the 9 weeks you spent for each in 2019 (7, if like you said, you skipped preseason), and yes, it should be more affordable this season.

Do I want it to happen? Of course not. This is my team. I grew up alongside them. I got angry at my parents because we weren't home in time to catch the beginning of the first game ever on TV. I have a very vivid memory of my dad racing through downtown Jacksonville as Boyz II Men performed the national anthem on the radio. You know, back when people had radios.

But at some point, enough is enough. Weaver just vaguely opined about ticket sales and a lack of local support maybe being a serious problem or something. Khan has now moved 25% of the team's home games to a city on the other side of the world that the NFL has been dabbling with for over ten years now as a possible home for a franchise. It just so happens to be an infinitely larger city than Jacksonville with infinitely larger income potential and Khan, like any good businessman with more zeroes after his name than this entire board put together would make in a hundred lifetimes, wants more zeroes. Capitalism, yo. Oh, and Khan's investments in downtown Jacksonville? Those pale in comparison to what he wants to do in London in terms of buying Wembley Stadium outright. These are not the actions of someone who intends to make Jacksonville the home of the Jaguars forever. It's what someone who is working on moving the team but doesn't want to upset the locals too much would do.

If Khan can't get London to work, he sells the Jags, period. Maybe this time to someone who wants to take them to San Antonio, or someone who's got a stadium dealing waiting in St. Louis. The point is that when you spend 15+ years hearing about how your team is going to move, you can tune it out. When you're hearing that and the owner is moving games to the city that the team has been linked to ever since LA fell off the map for us, at some point you lose faith and the ability to trust that your team's management wants your team to stay where it is.

  As much as I am for capitalism,  because the NFL has a monopoly on Professional Football,   the lack of viable competition leads to situations like the one Jacksonville is currently in regarding the Jaguars.  It's very unsettling.  Other than the Green Bay Packers,  every fan of a pro sports team in the USA and Canada could potentially be dealing with the situation of their favorite team moving.

  If the Jaguars were getting to the playoffs around 50 % of the time and the team's financial situation didn't improve in Jacksonville, with the Jaguars playing all home games in Jax,  I would be looking at the situation differently than at present.  The Jaguars have had 1 good season out of the last 12 seasons.  Based on this alone,  there's no justification to take away another home game from Jacksonville.   A fan base can only take so much.  Shad Khan might have caused a breaking point situation with a large enough portion of the Jacksonville Jaguars fanbase that even winning might not be enough to reverse it.

And before you go on about air travel and such, consider that a weekend trip to Seattle and back for a game (7840KM total) is more mileage(kilometerage, based on the units that follow) in a shorter window of time than the trip to London (7160KM each leg, separated by about a week), and we don't get a bye around that Seattle game.

Umm ok, going to London is about on par as going to Seattle to play a game. Except one is a road game where fans routinely whine about how bad we play out west. The other is a home game where we are supposed to have all of the advantages and instead put ourselves about on equal footing with a west coast road trip. If winning was the number one priority we would not put ourselves at that disadvantage, much less do it twice.

I'm not making excuses for Mr. Khan, but what if he is making moves to move because the city isn't willing to make the necessary agreements and funding assistance that the team wants and thinks is necessary? We see this being the reason many teams leave their cities. Look at San Diego just recently with the Chargers and back with many, many others. Maybe the fight needs to be taken up with the city....

the jags will be moved to london,that the bad news,th  good news is once that happens they will start winning.  they will hire a winning head coach,the first year in london they will go 9-7. by the 3rd season in london they will be so good they will be on way 

to a super bowl win. because being only team in london makes you a big market  team,and nfl loves big market teams.

Two homes games in London is only the beginning. I think the game plan ultimately is to have the pre-season games here (at full price again, of course, local revenue ya know) and the regular season games there.

I'm born and raised on the West Coast. 

I live in Washington (all my life, I'm 32), up here in the Pacific Northwest. 

It's great. We actually get all 4 seasons of the year, but it does get a little wet and rainy up here. One of the few places in this country where you can be at the Beach, or the Mountains, or Desert, or huge forest areas/outdoors in just a few hours worth of a drive.

Well you can just go back and look at the past London schedules and get a pretty clear idea of when the games will likely be played..

I'd put money down that the Jags will play the last 2 games in London, rather than the first 2 in London as well. Which would likely put those dates at the mid/end of October / early November.

So as somebody said earlier, you'll have a couple games in miserable heat. Then they'll disappear for awhile, during prime football weather. Only to come back to Jacksonville in late November/December when they're officially out of the running and playing meaningless football.

Shad has timed this thing perfectly for a STH revolt and for the Lot J deal to fall apart.
No wonder he did that interview on his yacht - where the NO PITCHFORKS rule is strictly enforced.

Ill throw this out there as a what if:
What if Kahn knows they will vote in 17 game schedule and he is just forward thinking enough to get the free extra home game in london? I dont know if the extra game will be a home or away but would assume if they make an extra game it would be home for the income.

This......this move is designed to put pressure on the city counsel to vote the way Khan wants, when he tells them as soon as lot J is developed, he will bring back the one home game.

Part of it.  They have to figure out the year splits on the unbalanced schedule.  If the league goes to 17 games, it opens up more international series.  Jaguars are always going to give away home games no matter what.  2 in London will be 6 Jax Home games or 7 Jax Home games depending on the year.  Make no mistake forward thinking will come at the expense of the fans.  An that is true in every small market.
