People keep hating on him just because he was a 6th rounder, if we drafted him top 10 last year and had the season he just did you would be saying he is gonna be the GOAT and you woudn't trade him for anyone.

I actually really like Minshew and look forward to him leading our team. But if it were between him and Burrow I'd choose Burrow simply because I think Burrow is better.

Yes and why wouldn't anyone see that? There really isn't a trait that Minshew has that's better than Burrow.

I'd also trade the #9 pick and Minshew for a slew of QBs including Kyler Murray.

I bet you would.  Terrible trade for the Jaguars.
For the record, I would trade Minshew and all 4 of our 1st rounders the next two years for Burrow.

If Cincy's GM agrees to that deal he's unemployed the second it makes it to the league office.

Joe grew up in my old stompin' grounds, so no I wouldn't do that deal. I can't wish the stink of our cursed franchise on him. Not that the bungles are any better, but everything we touch turns to dookie.

Good start.

It's not like you have to work hard to understand him.

Thanks.  I plan to add many, many more to refute your wrong opinions. Smile

How is he proven? How many teams with a winning record did he beat as starting QB?

He has potential, but proven?

Agreed.

It's not a knock on Gardner Minshew II,  who certainly showed plenty of promise in his rookie season for the Jaguars.  Yet,  I strongly believe that a number of teams would give the Bengals a much greater trade  compensation package than this particular trade proposal.  More along the lines of what the Rams ( Jared Goff ) and Eagles ( Carson Wentz ) gave up.

He has proven he isn't Gabbert and can stand tough. He has proven that he has the arm to make the throws, he has proven he has accuracy also. He has proven he can scramble.

Only included players I feel I've watched enough of and feel should be taken in the first 4 rounds or so, more names will be added as the weeks go on, combine may also change some tiers but tier 1 should stay the same.

Tier 1 - potential all pros
Tier 2 - above average starters
Tier 3 - solid starters

To quote Monty Python, the Bengals would "...fart in your general direction" for making such an offer.
we could get
Not only that, Burrow would likely become the next Eli Manning if we made the move up to get him.

Even assuming we could cobble together a package good enough to get the 1st overall pick from Cncy (they have never traded out of the #1 overall pick), and even assuming Burrow would play for us, the team wouldn't keep him beyond his first contract no matter how good he is.

Yes, if they were dumb enough to take it. I love minshew moxie, but his ceiling feels much closer to Garrard than Manning. Burrow looks like a generational talent. I think there is no chance that Cinci trades that pick.
