Daniel Jeremiah said he didn't get the sense that the Jags were in desperation win now mode

No - they aren't.

It would appear that this grand plan that Dave and Doug presented to Kahn a few months back was a plan that will encompass more than one calendar year to achieve a winning record.

Also - I think the argument for prioritizing O-Line in this draft isn't necessarily parallel to being in win-now mode.
To me - it's more about taking advantage of a strong tackle class and eschewing the prior practice of patiently waiting on LT draftees to "come around."  Just add to the talent pool while it's ripe for the picking and if Cam really does come around you've got a great problem on your hands and you try the odd man out at guard.
Everything we do this offseason should be to be as QB friendly as possible in 21' , having a young talented offensive line ready to go is arguably the biggest part of that plan

If you can get a good LT,C,and RT this year then it wouldn't be hard to draft a guard in the mid rounds next year and sign a guy in FA and then boom that's a good OL. So draft any of the 4 OTs this year, trade up from 20 if one of the 3 Wrs falls to 16 and if they dont then draft a corner at 20 and a WR at 43.

It has to be. In my opinion, there’s simply no way forward unless they do.

Its really all that matters. The QB doesn't even need to be top 5 or anything, just need above average QB play over the next years to escape this existential hole the Jags are in, the easiest path to that is the offended line being good

The sad thing is they think they already have a young talented offensive line ready to go.

Nah I don't think that. More so they just think it's talented enough to get by with while also needing upgrades at RG and improved play at LT (whether through Cam improvement or a new player). They were interested in Trent Williams for instance

I don't really believe they think this.  Dave said just the other day that OL depth is lacking in this class as compared with DL and CB.  To me, that signifies that they would be more prone to taking OL early.

I'm down for that, too.

1- Thomas
1- Ruiz
2- J. Johnson CB
3- Pittman

From Walterfootball:

Quote:Jedrick Wills or Andrew Thomas, OT - Jacksonville's offensive line is a mess, so protecting Trevor Lawrence has to be a priority.

Love Andrew Thomas, but Jedrick Wills? We just drafted a RT in the second round of last year's draft. Wills has never played on the left side. That's way too risky a move.
Playing this year out with the intent of tanking is foolish. Plus there it's no guarantee another team isn't going to try the same exact approach. They need to do the best to build around Minshew and let the chips fall as they may.

He's a blindside protector and has all the tools to be a LT. Him and Thomas are the top 2

Based on what? There is no film of him playing the left side to back up that theory. I need some kind of sample size to show me that he can effectively make the move. A lot of players over the years have "projected" to make the move to a more "skill-oriented" positions and have failed greatly. Moving from RT to LT is that kind of move. Some players can do it, some can't. Personally, I need to see some kind of tangible evidence before I could come to such a conclusion.
