I literally didn't know that Ga. Tech even had a TE on their roster. They never throw the ball. This guy would've been there in the 7th round and probably an UDFA. Would've rather added O-Line depth with Hanson or Wanogho. I doubt Davis makes the team.
Looks like he has a knack for high pointing the ball.

Playoffs here we go!!

Good gosh, will you and the other dude just bury the hatchet already?  Every time I check in I see the same [BLEEP] post by you.  Whatever you point is, it’s been made.

He just can't let it go.

Whatever.
Good measuareables. Probably makes the roster as a ST's guy at the minimum. Not expecting him to come in and move the chains like Kelce or Kittle.

You are incorrect. You clearly haven't watched a Georgia Tech game in two years. They were bad on offense because they are transitioning into a pro style team from a triple option team.

He has a Josh Oliver type skill set. I love it.
I don't hate this pick. Decent size and good speed for a move tight end. At worst he's O'Shag with a bit more wheels in a younger body.

Truth. I know more than one Ga Tech grad up here who go to the tailgate parties then go home.

I didn't know we had a main TE.

Obviously, I haven't. I live in Ohio, so I can only watch what options I have on DirecTV. I get tons of BIG Ten, Pac-12, SEC and BIG 12 and MAC games, but I rarely get to see ACC games for some reason, unless Clemson or Florida State are playing big games. Sometimes I will get the occasional Wake Forest, Syracuse or Pitt game, but I rarely get any other ACC games.

True. Even if I had the options of watching them, I'd find something else to watch.
A Ga. Tech football game is more like watching a rugby game.

Lol.

Those are some nice plays, but it seems like he is a non factor outside of those few plays.

His career best for a season is 22 rec for 237 yards. He did have 6 TDs that year but that was also the only season he ever had multiple TDs.

What concerns me about his production at GT is that you would think a transitioning offense would rely more heavily on a TE being they typically run shorter easier to complete routes and are often the safety valve for passing plays that go wrong.

He looks like he has the physical tools. Maybe he's just been used wrong or maybe he just has trouble getting open.

Hopefully he will blossom at the next level.

Apparently you are behind the times as well.

He has had some bad luck if being on some bad teams. The skills are obviously there.

He played against bad defenses and talent level. Look how wide open he gets, by a mile.  He's gonna struggle getting open playing against elite athletes.

You are right he doesn't have great body control or great hands. He only makes catches because he is wide open.
He's got excellent measurables and seems to have a knack for getting open. He's also a former QB so he must have a pretty good understanding of offenses at least at that level. Could be a sleeper and he'll be competing at a position without a clear starter. I'm ok with the pick.
I’m a Georgia Tech fan and just wanted to say Davis is a great get for you. Don’t read too much into the stats because our offense was transitioning from the triple option and we had a horrible year with a freshman QB and injured OL. Davis is a stud though and one of the hardest workers on the team (won the lifter of the year). He’s one of the fastest TEs in this draft and will surprise a lot of people. He also seems like an awesome person/leader which is always good to have in the locker room. Your scouts did an excellent job finding him and I was worried he would go unnoticed.
